I'd like to get everyone together here in Wilmington, on Wednesday night when everyone meets. There are a couple of 240's here. Probably 4 or 5. There was 6 but he drifted right into a TRUCK! Lol. Yup yup...already getting it together. I've talked to some of the local people and there seems to be pretty good interest.

Go HERE (http://www.zilvia.net/f/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=3;t=15377) for the battle of the imports meet thread. It's in petersburg VA...about an hour/1.5 from the VA/NC border I think, depending on how you come up. If your near I-95 it won't be a bad drive...95 to emporia, get on 58 to petersburg.

It'd be really awsome to get two groups, both the NC and VA people together for something like this.

Ok people.
I posted this on the freshalloy list a while back and got a few takers, but not enough to finalize anything. Here's the deal I too am from Wilmington and i'm all for the Wilmington meet, but i personally don't think it's fair to the other people in the adjacent cities and states to meet on the coast.
Now...The last meet i set up (beginning of the year some time) was at Raleigh's Entertainment Sports Arena (ESA) where the Carolina Hurricanes play. I chose this place not because i live in Raleigh, but because my wife works there part time and she got a reserved area for us with no cops to hassle us. The last meet we had "almost" 20 240's total.

In order to get a good turn out for the next meet (whether it be in Wilmington, Raleigh or where ever) let's rationally look at the timing of this meet. We have people that will be going to VIR or NOPI and may decide not to meet with us. Let's try to get a head count for the best available time so we can make it an awesome showing.

So...if you want to have it at ESA again, i can have my wifey talk to the people at ESA again. Or we can do Wilmington. Let's first decide this one.

I say Raleigh, and not VIR weekend or NOPI weekend or the 5th of Oct thru 13th cause i'll be in Japan.

** As for Caleb’s old car…..yes it will be on the road soon. I hear Corey is working on it now.

The problem is...without having written consent from Kmart, the cops will run everybody off. We need a place where we are able to meet. Maybe clear it with UNCW, or the mall (either one) but you know how the cops are there....we'll get ran off for sure....LIKE ALWAYS!

My wife just checked to see if ESA was available and it doesn’t look good right now. That’s because there is 2 pre-season Hockey games that weekend and they bump everything out of the way for those games.

BUT…she’s still gonna see if we can meet up there and then leave before the hockey crowd come along. This will give us time to meet up before we go to dinner or go terrorize some Hondas.

If it’s still a no go, then we can always meet up at a parking lot some where cause the cops generally won’t mess with us until night fall.

So at the least, we can still do the Raleigh thing and the weekend of the 28 does sound good to me.

Do I need to start working on that date?<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>?

Seriously guys….let me know. And who will be attending?

What's up Kyle.  I guess you remember me...I have the white prelude, I went to imports at the rock with you this past spring.  A little info as far as Wilmington goes: we haven't been going to k-mart for a while b/c of the police.  So we have been hanging out at the PC Motorsports lot along with the 2 adjacent lots.  We've been doing this for several months and have yet to have any problem with the police.  I've been seriously considering the idea of selling my prelude and building an S13(I'd like to go all the way and import kit, rims,etc. from Japan).  So I've really been wanting to check your car out.  So I may swing by the meet and let you guys "terrorize" my Honda a bit. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Are we still planning on having this meet in Raleigh?  If so, there is a medium-sized lot we can use.  PM Racing has no quarrels with people who hang out in its parking lot, and its Raleigh's hotspot for import-happenings on Saturday nights.

I'll figure out some directions later if we need this place.

All right!!!!!

It's on. My wife spoke to the people at ESA and we can use the parking lot. But we have to be out by 4:30 cause that's when they clear it for the hockey game that night. No sweat...we'll be cruising at that point or eating.

OK I'll get the map again for ESA and i'll post it like on Sunday since i'm getting ready to be gone for the next 3 days. If somebody want's to get the directions for me then it would be appreciated.

Sorry for the delay guys!!!!!
I've been traveling like crazy for my job.

The lot we'll meet in is on the back side. It doesn't really matter which one to be quite honest. Just circle the building once and you'll find everybody.

I don't know about the head count, but i'm going for sure!!!!!

Kyle, sorry I missed you this weekend, I was at nopi.  (saw 2 real S15's, an R34, 2 R33's, and a 1971 skyline).  I don't know if I'll be able to make it to Raleigh this weekend, I have to go home to get my car inspected...no one in Wilmington will pass it.  I think I'm gonna go ahead and put it up for sale.  I want to get with you and talk about some things like how to do a 5 lug conversion for example.  Later, John

I'll be there too..though unfortunatly with none of my greenville 240 freinds..and one has an sr now too..oh well my freind from raliegh will be meeting me there in his 94 z28(fully built motor, very loud...plans to help me build a KAT if i want to). Just look for the big bald guy with the incredibly stock looking 91 240 se,lol. Kyle i have some questions to ask about your car and stuff when i get there..prolly ones i already asked but i forgot about..lol. And I will be bringing my NOPI pics with me..got lots of the 2 s15's..and of the very sweet 72 Skyline

240Silvia-Yeah that was me...I PM'd you.  I just figured everyone would try to fit like 900 cars in the PC Parking lot.  I really haven't thought about anywhere else that we won't get chased out of.  And you're right about PC NOT CUTTING IT, I'm getting sick of some of those 14 year old gangster civic drivers.

Kyle-my car won't pass because my car is missing a few things like turn signals and stuff.  I'm gonna have to rig something up, the new kit didn't have a place for them.  Last year they wouldn't pass me because one of my rear side marker lights was burnt out (they charged me like 8 bucks to replace it before they would pass me.  I don't even have those marker's anymore.  My inspection has to be done b/f the end of the month.  I'm not saying 100% that I'm not going but that it would be tuff.  We'll see, John

wassup, its me Caleb.  How was the meet, sorry I couldn't attend as you might have heard I drifted into a truck.  I don't know how that rumor got started.  I got hit by a truck when I was sideways, but I didn't drift into it.  Anyways, I am hoping to get an s13 fastback soon so Kyle, I might start asking you a lot of questions.  Don't get upset though when I start beating you at shows.  <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>   I wish.

well appairently the esa had a last minute sceduled state football game that started at 1:00. i got to the esa at about 11:05 only to see no one there..oh well. here is my proposition.
I hang out at/kinda work at the local performance shop here in Greenville. we are kind of the only place in the shopping center and there is enough room to park for at least 30 of us or more if we park around back..plus a shop to hang out in, and a food place to get eats from. The shop owner has a 240(which is wrecked waiting for a silvia front end and blacktop sr) and the owners son has an sr equipped s13. I also of course have a 240..so the shop is very 240 freindly. the only problem with this place is that the people from beyond raleigh and wilmington might not want to come..but this seems like it could be an awesome place for a meet. I have already discussed this with Planb and he is cool with it. Let me know guys and i will start an official thread here and at the other 240 sites.

I would call them and ask. they haven't done an s14 swap yet..just 2 blacktop s13's into s13's. I can tell you that price is going to be comperable to heavy throttle..since they are complete swaps, don't be suprised about the price..we have had one guy from town come by and expect to get it cheap, and i will say that heavy throttle turns away about 5-6 swaps a month.
