I've got an OBD1 S13 SR20DET in a 1996 240sx body.
Can the car even pass emissions if the motor was running real clean?
Won't they plug it into the obd2 tester and have it tell them no connection?
I just bought the car and did not think about this beforehand, also isn't it alot harder to bribe someone with an obd2 test because the test shows the vehicle specs, so i'd need another 240 to take my place.

i see you in conn. are the emisions really strict there?...if not just talk to the guy. in texas if ur car is obd2 they dont even hook up the smog machine.

its not bad here, but when they plug it in for obd2, wont it show 'no connection' because there is no emissions bridge between the obd2 body and obd1 motor?

yeah if its anything like cali, if they cant make a connection with obd2 the car will fail....like they said before make real good friends with a smog shop owner or tech.

Haha.
We have a house in texas so I say I live there but I actually have all my cars registered in Kansas (a non-emissions state). Makes it nice to do stuff to your cars and not have to worry about emissions.

so heres my plan, im going to hide the obd2 plug, and get the motor clean enough to pass asm (roller) testing, play dumb and say its an obd1 car, and hopefully they will throw her on the rollers and pass her like that.
