I have installed brand new BC camshafts and valve springs with titanium retainers.

I don't have received much informations with them.

I'd like to know if there any break-in procedure for them?

I'm not sure what the specific break in procedure is for those particular cams, but it probably wouldn't hurt to follow the 20 at 2000 rule. Start the car for the first time after the installation and race the engine at 2000 rpms for 20 minutes. This is how I've always broken in the camshafts on head rebuilds and the like. This is a pretty important step, though don't quote me on this being the correct method for those cams.

if you haven't done it already, apply some moly-lube or specifically some cam break-in lube on the lobes and journals before breaking the cams in.

Yeah, they gave me lubs assembly with the camshafts, everything has been lubrified before installation.

i doubt theres any break in procedure at least i havent ever heard of one. But i would treat it as any new engine part....which means dont do any hard pulls for the first 1,000 miles or so. I know a few people who have just did all out highway pulls after they had the engine rebuilt and the motor had problems very soon.

ok, there definitely is a break in period. The 2000rpm for 20 minutes is pretty close sounding to what I have heard. I have a vague idea of other stuff I have heard but that sounds definite while the other stuff on the edge of my mind is iffy and I dont want to misinform. So yeah, do that. MUCHO IMPORTANTE!

2000rpm for 20 minutes under no load with proper break in lubrication is what i've heard/done

I actualy reseached this for when i installed my hks cams and there was a big debate on freshalloy about this! a bunch of people said that break in procedures for cams are only necesarry for older style motors with push rods and what not! and to pretty much just make sure everything is lubed and TQ'd good. I personaly didnt rev my motor or anything when i initialy started it and every thing is fine!
good luck!

20 min at 2000 rpm will be sufficient using supplied Redline cam lube.

Thank you,
Brian

This what I got from Brian Crower himself. Thanks all.

Just had my BC Stage 2 cams 2 sundays ago. Lubed them with the supplied red-line assembly lube.

When you first start the motor, immediately bring the rpm up to 2000 rpm and blip the throttle
between 2000-3000 for about 10 minutes. This helps assure the cams break in correctly.

Run the engine at 10-15 minutes between 1500 to 2000 rpm.

Drive the car for 50-100 miles of varied rpm. Do not go above 4000 rpm.

Because of the ECU self learning, the car will run better and better within the next two days.
I would also change the engine oil after about a few hundred miles as cam break in leaves many small iron particles.

Ok, ill do this.

About the ECU self learning, I have a Power FC and have many issues with injector lag time so, I'll do another self learn procedure once the cams are break-in.
