Took the S13 to the dyno last night…
Stock KA24E with a test pipe and Buddy Club Spec 2 exhaust…

Motor has 225K on it and will be replaced soon… I was just curious I guess…
I’m taking the car out to the track this weekend and wanted to see if this would help me see where my powerband is…

Apparently there is no powerband…

Specs say that this motor makes:

140HP @ 5600RPM
152 FT/LB @ 4400RPM

And this motor made:

102 WHP @ 6100RPM... assuming 20% drivetrain loss it is 122HP
117 W FT/LB @ 3600RPM… assuming 20% drivetrain loss is is 140 FT/LB

So the motor is down about 13% horsepower and 8% down in torque…

Let’s see how it handles the track this weekend… It will definitely be the loudest one there…

Here is a video of a third gear run...

20% drivetrain loss is applied to the crank hp. You can not just add 20% to your dyno rusult.

With a 20% loss, you theoretically have 127.5 crank hp and 146.25 crank lb-ft of torque resulting in 8% and 4% loss respectively.

What are your compression numbers?

Do you know SP personally or have hook with them? I know they charge an arm and a leg for dyno like that. Just wondering haha

I am a friend of the shop and they hook me up as much as they can...

I think their dyno rate is $80 for 3 runs IIRC... Same as everybody else...
But their labor rate for actual work is pretty high... But you should see the quality of the cars that come out...

Here is a pic of their updated Supra 7...

Glad to see 240s running with more miles than mines...I just bought mines with 205k with under 1k$....My new Daily driver!

I'm in OC too. Where is this dyno located. I have a KA24E with spec II, test pipe, header, cam and i wanna see what it puts out.

EDIT: nevermind, it says on the dyno sheet : )
