Anybody else ever had issues with electric fans causing interference that screws with the engine? I've got an SR and even if I hook the fans up to a battery sitting on the ground outside the car it still causes it to idle rough and even die sometimes. It must be some sort of EMF screwing with some signal...I think its the CAS, but I've aluminum taped the CAS wiring and it still does it. I'm out of ideas, and don't have a clutch fan and shroud. Anybody else think of anything?

it;s doing that because you don;t have a relay installed. I have one in my RB and i have never stalled / idled low.
install a rellay and call it a day. sooo.....
SEARCH NOOB!!!!

why would a relay make a bit of difference...did you read my post? It would have taken you less time to read the damn post and realize I said I powered it with a battery that WASNT EVEN ATTATCHED TO MY CAR than it took to set that up in giant red font.

edit: its EMF from the electric motor that is causing it...you can pull the fan away from the engine and it works fine, then when you set it in place behind the radiator it screws with the idle.
