tonight wen me and ma bro were cruisin home on I270 coming from the usual weekend meet at barnes and nobles in rockville, some idiot cut ma brother off and ma brother lost control spun around and hit the cement baracade. we were headin north on I270 cruisin at around 65-70, ma bro wuz in front i wuz behind. he drives a 2000 impreza 2.5rs while i drive a 97 240sx, we were on the second to left most lane and this person in a green mini van cuts ma bro off then swurves back into their lane after, but the damage wuz already done, my brother had no choice but to brake and swurve to avoid hitting the asshole, wen he did his car lost control and he tried to countersteer, but it wuz too late the car slid across the freeway and ended on the right shoulder and hit the baracade on the front driver side then the back driver side smacked to the baracade as well. luckily the oncoming traffic slowed down enough to avoid hitting ma bro head on. and guess wut. the person who cut ma bro off drove off not realizing wut they hav done to ma brother or did they? luckily he has no injuries... just serious injury to his car(at least $3k). I wuz in ma car witnessing the whole incident. this night really sucked.... all this damage juss because some asshole decided it would be fun to cut in front of someone, i say this because there was absolutely no one in front of the van. there wuz no reason for that van to go into ma bros lane. the next time someone cuts me off i might hav to kill em. but thats just me venting out ma anger. hope none of you will hav to experience wut me and ma bro experienced today. drive safe all.

hopefully our insurance will understand.

That sux man, I'm sorry to hear about that. At that speed you probably weren't even able to get plates or anything. His insurance should be fine, hit and runs are usually half of the normal deductable, so it's not going to be too bad, just a lot of downtime. The important thing is that he's ok though.

yeah i wuz just able to get a glimpse of wut the vehicle was but then i had to stop to check on ma bro. at the time i didnt care about how the car looked, i juss cared about how ma bro looked. but wen he assured me he wuz fine we checked out the car and we were like uggghhhhh.... sick to the stomach man.... juss sick.

Well, seeing as how the van didnt actually hit your bro, then it will be a little tougher getting the half off thing. Its a one car accident. You shoulda just sped up to catch them enough to get their plates. That shit sucks though. Sorry

That problem's easily solved, IF you called the police. The officer would be more than happy to vouch for your brother. Hopefully your insurance company won't be assholes about it, usually they are pretty sympathetic when you aren't at fault (unless you have State Farm, they suck my left one...hard! I'm going to get a new insurance company soon I think).

that is very true....
as long as you and your bro are all right....
He proly could've sped up to catch the car but then he would have had to sacrifice attending to his brother....which is more important...i think he did the right thing

btw... we had a witness pull over to check if we were ok, and a fireman came and lit up some flares for us. he also called the state trooper and the state trooper showed up with in minutes. asked if we were ok, and checked the car out gave us a case number and if we had any problems or question to call him...
i hav a new found respect for troopers now....
