Hey guys,
I was wondering whats the cheapest way to ship a hood. I'm in Norcal, and I want to ship it to SoCal. I was wondering what methods do you guys prefer?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Dude don't ship. I just paid $187 to ship a bumper and sideskirts. Gas prices are killing it.

In all seriousness, use someones truck/ect. Not even worth shipping unless you make a profit off of it, which I am doubting you would.

Greyhound is cheap as hell, as long as there's a depot near the buyer he's fine.
Another way to do it cheap is cut the hood in half, then in half again. Stack the four pieces, wrap with shrink wrap, and go UPS Ground. Just include a spool of welding wire so the buyer can put it back together.

I've used greyhound and its hit or miss. I've seen the way they just toss those things around. If he hood is fiberglass or carbon fiber, there's a good chance it'll crack. If its metal, then you might get a few dings. Good luck with whatever ya do!

Put it in a hood box, make sure you tape something to corners of the hood to protect it, then put it on a pallet, and then check out www.thecustomcompanies.com or www.freightquote.com
That's what I use to ship put silvia conversions every time and all the time.
