I have a scorpion helmet for sale. I used it for about 5 months. It is their top of the line model, with mad venting and also the nose gaurd so the wind screen doesn't fog up on those cold days. I paid $260 for it, plus and extra $70 for the different shields, chrome with light tint, and also a dark tint one. Asking $150 OBO. It is fully snell and dot approved, so using on the track is fine. :2f2f: There are a couple of nicks on it, but nothing major at all.

That helmet will work for most drift day and etc. Just won't work at most auto cross events.

I have a motorcycle helmet that i use for NASA track events it works fine. Plus it looks way cooler then a borring car racing helmet imo.

Hmmmm, I was under the impression that since it was snell and dot, that it was legal across the board.

Oh, size is large also

I'll be using it for GoKarting, so I don't care about all that SA whatever crap.

check your local track listings, my local tracks take SA95, SA2000, SA2005 as well as M rated helmets (motorcycle) biggist difference between like M and SA ratings thought is that M ratings have to have a wider feild of vision, where SA ratings don't.

Personally, I would like to see more things around me. It would allow me to see the person ahead in the turns that I am gonna overtake:boink:

Here's something quoted from speedtrial's q&a section:
"Q: I plan to get a SA2000 helmet, but was curious as to why M2000 aren't allowed?
A: SA2000 is for automobiles, fireproof and is able to withstand multiple impacts. M2000 is for motorcycles, not fireproof and is only good for one big impact."

roll cage and harness folks, enjoy!
