that price is good if you get everything for the swap:
- 5 speed transmission
- 5 speed crossmember
- 5 speed driveshaft
- Flywheel and bolts
- Clutch and pressure plate
- Release bearing
- Master and slave cylinders
- Hardlines and rubber line from master to slave cyl.
- Clutch pedal
- Brake pedal (not necessary but nice to have)
- Boots and brackets for shifter assembly

Your auto ECU will run fine in the car. I just fired mine up today after doing a 5speed swap. You'll just probably always have the check engine light on because there are a lot of wires that you leave cut.
250-275 is a good price if it includes everything. Sourcing all the little parts can be a real pain. They are not terribly expensive at the dealer... just the downtime sucks.

Tach will still work. You will have to wire up the Speed spensor from the 5 speed tranny.

excuse me, you do not need to give him Nico links. We have an great auto to 5 speed swap FAQ right here on Zilvia. No he did not search either because the whole ecu thing is covered as well as the list of stuff he needs.
To the OP on a S13 you can run your Auto ecu. It works fine I have done it many times. You must not have searched that hard. Or your just use to listening to Niconauts!

By the way both of you fail at searching. The FAQ is stickied at the top of the archive and faq section.

I don't care if the thing was stickied on your mothers a$$. I gave him the links that were the most helpful. as long as the question is answered the source of the info shouldn't matter if it's correct.
