I just picked up some z32 calipers and i'm looking for rotors.
I saw a link a while back that sold z32 brembo rotors pre-drilled for 4-lug and 5-lug with your choice of pattern (drilled, slotted, both, or blanks) I think they were $125 for the pair of them, but I can't find the link.

Does anyone know what site is selling them like this?
I'm looking to get cross drilled 4-lug z32 rotors

Thanks in advance.

I bought mine from Irotor.com and they were only $200 for a set. It just seems like a hassle to try and get something rigged up. If you spent the money to get a z32 upgrade don't start skimpin now. That's just my two cents on it though. Good luck on your search.

Thanks s14xman, but I'm still looking for a different site...
The site I found a while back offered you the choice of what pattern you want.
drilled
slotted
drilled and slotted
or blanks...
I saw heavythrottle selling them with pads and ss lines as a package for $245, but i'm not sure they are drilled for 4-lug, i haven't had a chance to call yet. Plus I want to run ceramic pads...

Ouch. With rotors being a wear item, I don't see the reasoning behind paying $125 a pair for anything unless it's gold plated and jacks you off while driving. Especially when it's been proven time and time again that drilled or slotted rotor's only benefits are a slight amount of weight saving (ounces) per wheel.
A full front and rear set of blanks can be had for $110 and drilled out on a press in 4 minutes.

i don't know where you get front rotors for $27 maybe ebay... but i'd prefer not to ebay integral parts of my setup... a radio or gauge pod on the other hand ebay all the way haha!

and stock rotors for 300zxTT are $50 each from advanced auto... so $29 more i get them pre-drilled and the pattern I want, no need to find a trusworthy machine shop.

By the way, Thanks for the link... I was on heavy throttle but i guess I just looked in the wrong place haha! thats what i was looking for.

Whenever I order rotors for my car I use the cheapest brand x China made rotors I can find. Its really just saving money and not hurting anything at all, espicially if its a track car.

I do believe in aluminum/stainless hatted rotors, they are just kinda hard to find. Sort of expensive for the initial purchase but then you can just switch out the rotor and save the hats. That saves a lot of weight per wheel and is super worth it. You can even get ghetto if you have a friend that works at a machine shop and buy china brand x rotors and modify them to work on them if blank replacements are expensive

IIRC Autobarn.com has brembo rotors for pretty cheap, $32 bucks. That's brembo, not China brand X from kragen or wutever.

NAPA carries them for the price I quoted, made in USA. And drill presses aren't just found at machine shops, anyone with a good garage and set of tools has one. I have one at home and work, and there's three more within a 5 minute drive from me at neighbor's houses. You need to expand your search a little.

nopionline sells them as well for roughly the same price.

$125 for blanks that were drilled out and slotted = waste of money imo

just saw brembo blanks for $50 for the pair... I don't have a drill press, can't do it myself. I'm not about to brake out the old power drill and go wild on them haha!! how much on average do shops usually charge to re-drill rotors?

You should be able to get them drilled for 10 bucks or a 6-pack. Provided you already have the pre-drilled holes punched and set to go that way there's no measuring on their part.

I agree with R240NA, you need to expand your search a little. My dad's got a drill press in his garage that i used on my old 4-lug Z brake setup.

Also as far as brands, just get brembo blanks. Really the benefits for CD/slotted rotors are not that much.

You will have louder brakes, much faster pad wear, excessive brake dust, less overall metal volume for heat dissipation, and you cant turn them. Where as with blanks, you get the exact opposite and they're cheaper. As far as the 240 goes, upgrading to Z brakes and M/C is more than adequate for just about every driving situation, unless you run LeMans.

Please don't tell me you have your heart set on the CD/Slotted approach cause it looks "mad tyte yo" on that car you saw at a car show or in a magazine.

I've run both CD/Slotted and blank setups with the 240sx brakes and Z brakes in the past and IMO the Z blanks are the most logical choice.

Hope this helps.

You could also try hitting up CPARKPowertrix on this forum. He sold me my complete z32 brake upgrade a couple years ago and I have been going through him ever since for brake pads and the such. He is a great guy to deal with and Im sure he could help you out in getting what you want. Just another option for ya.

alot of you new young guys who are getting into cars, think that u can only resort to name brands and what the pro's are running. u think u have to run to the big baller parts just to hang with the in crowd.. when its really not like that... maybe its just me and my old grassroots belief... but having good parts for cheap and somewhat fabbin or engineering it urself is just my forte' " my spacial engineering tools is a piece of paper... a pen and a caliper for measurement.

trust us when we tell u just buy the brembo blanks for 60 bucks or what ever for the pair. then have it drilled by a machine shop, a friend with a drill press or do it yourself if u able to use one.... i didnt need a damn template to get the lug pattern for drilling... i used a existing 4 lug rotor flipped it over sprayed some red paint... center punched it... and drilled.... make sure its centerd with u do this tho... but thats the cheapest method anyone has thought of... and it works... trust the senior members on here.. like russ or me or anyone else.... weve been there and done that..

most of the info for stuff like this is already here with the same topics.. and discussion.. theres 100's of them.. and there doesnt need to be another one....

I'm not trying to get cross drilled cause they look cooler, I want them because I'm going to be autoXing with this car... I am not trying to start a thread about why use C/D, slotted, or blanks or whats cheaper.I was just looking for a link to a website, not information about brake setups.

I'm not trying to build a "BALLER SETUP" so people can say I'm cool, if I wanted that I'd go buy Endless Brakes!!!
Most of the parts on my car are not name brand... I'm not a brand whore and could careless if it says brembo or leaky pecker on the back of the rotor... As long as it works how I want I'm happy

S14xMan got me what I was looking for... thanks!

Cross drilled will not perform any different at all especially for auto cross.

if you wanted true performance brakes you would get lightened hat rotors!!!!

and I cant believe you just spent 130 dollars on rotors....The smart thing would have been to use that toward tires and seat time.

and if he wanted to be smart, he'd get blanks for less money and better performance.

Funny, we all decided that three dozen posts ago except the OP.
