hey there guys,
my check engine light wnet on for the 1st time ever :-/..
i own a 95 zenki with a stock KA and by the steering column it says it has an onboard diagnostic system. Since this is the first time a check engine light has ever appeared in my car I dont know what it could be. So my questions are

im located in so cal so where can I take my car so they can plug my onboard diagnostic system to a computer?large chains are fine

will the onboard diagnostic system tell me whats going on>?

can it maybe be a sensor thats loose?
any input would be helpful and appreciated.thanks.

yup you can go to any AAMCO and they will provide you with a free scan. Not quite sure if they do OBDI or not but it is worth a try. If they can they will pull the code look it up in there database and tell you what sensor is not plugged in or has gone bad.

autozone napa has free obd2 check... your car might still have a obd port "DDL" it should be pre obd2

Incorrect. OBD-II was mandated in 1996. Your car is OBD-I.
