View Full Version : Keyless entry fuse....
The remote on my 95 has stopped working. At first I thought it was the battery and replaced that. It still doesn't work so I'm thinking it might be a fuse. However, I wasn't able to locate a fuse for that. Is there a specific fuse for keyless entry? If so, where is it? If not, what else could be the problem?

if its aftermarket, its an in line fuse in the power - find the box under the drivers side dash and follow i\the red one till you find a fuse
if its oem, it in the fuse box - look at the diagram on the little panel
It's oem. However, like I stated in the previous post, there isn't any listing for it on the cover of the fuse box. Does anyone know the part number for it because those are listed on the fuse box cover.
Btw, thanks for your response gh6o6. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

so what's the deal, ne one got any clue of what is up? i can probably figure it out if i have a schematic, but i ain't got one, so it's like a dog chasing its tail around in circle. oh, and for those of you who have a service manual for 95 240, is there anything in there for anti-theft, alarm, or keyless entry. maybe wiring diagram or schematic???

Look what dragon said. Do you have 2 remotes and they both don't work? You only mention one. Your remote may have died period... it happens. I would ask the nissan dealer, test if another one works and go from there.

GOT IT!!! i went to the nissan dealer and a guy reprogrammed my remote (i only have one) i beat the instructions out of him and left him there for dead.
1. Close and lock all doors.
2. Insert and remove the key from the ignition more than six times in ten seconds. (the hazard warning lamp will then flash twice)
* At this time, the original ID codes are eliminated.
3. Turn the key to the "ACC" position
4. Push the lock button on the new remote controller once.
* At this time, the new ID code is entered.
To enter additional remote controllers, unlock, then lock, the driver's door with the door lock/unlock switch L/H (in main power window switch).
Push lock button on the new additional remote controller once.
This ID code entry enable state and setting mode remain until the driver's door is opened.
NOTE
If the same ID code already exists in memory, the entry is cancelled, and no ID code will be entered.
Entry of maximum four ID codes is allowed and any attempt to set more will be ignored.
Any ID codes entered after termination of the "setting" mode will not be accepted. Additionally, remote control signals will be inhibited when an ID code has not been entered during "setting" mode.

Anyone have any ideas for a 1996 300ZX TT.
I lost my one working remote, and bought 2 new ones from Courtesyparts.com Neither of them will program and I believe that it is the methods that people are telling me to use. I have recieved 5 different methods from various sources and none of them are workin right. All of the dealers say they are difficult on the 300ZX's and to stick with it.
There is something about popping the rear hatch, turning the key to Assy, and locking an unlocking the doors in various versions of what I have found but not all. Some mention the Flashers blinking and some do not.
I suppose the reciever could be having a problem also, but hope to find a proven method to program on these cars before going that route.
Does anyone have a proven method for programming the remotes for a 96 300ZX TT before I wear out my ignition switch???
Thanks
