Well there is the 48 hour drift festival at ebisu but cant remember the dates i think it was may sometime.. i cant exactly remember but that is mental..

Flights will cost about ~1300-1500USD return if your in America.

I wouldnt mind going with someone who enjoys drift with a passion and isn't scared to hit the streets with me and some mates i have in Japan

I'm gonna be in Tokyo from March 20 - April 18. I am sorry to miss some of you guys, as I am taking my video equipment and would like to make an import dvd.... anyone wanna help? If so holler at me. My two passions in life are cars and video and I'm trying to make them collide in Japan. Sorry to seem like I hijacked this, but I didn't know if the admins would want two going to Japan threads. I'm going to be around Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Anyone wants to hang out it would be very welcome. Don't hesitate to PM me.

Do you have MSN? We can make this happen. I could shoot some professional gaijin footage for you in japan...

PM me for information on what you want to do in japan.....

Thanks

Hey guys,
I live sorta near Nikko, I'd be willing to hang out if everyone's close by. I'm very much into video editing and production, I got pretty good camera if anyone would be interesting a making something. I have MSN too, hit me up on PM for details :)

Alright, I have two Panasonic DVX100b mini-dv cameras, and a consumer grade Panasonic PV-GS16. I bought the small consumer camera to go with the car mount I just bought from film tools. I'm also packing a MacBook Pro 17" with Final Cut Studio 5.1, and a Sennheiser handheld mic for interviewing purposes, should they arise (hopefully).
I'm wanting to do a video magazine, and I'll probably be focusing on Japan and the east coast for this installment, because I am an east coaster, and my budget will not allow for several trips to the west, as most of it is going towards my month in Japan.
My friend from hawaii will be there, and there is a chance (not huge, but not small) that I will get to talk to Kazama auto, because his brother was sponsored by them and they still garage his s15 and chaser. So I am starting somewhere.
To be honest, I'd like this to be a mixture of things, with race action, street action, drift, grip, show coverage, maybe a "cover car" so to speak, and a model interview (my friend knows a model that was on import tuner about 3 or 4 months back). As well as installs.... basically all the things current "video magazines" aren't... a magazine, in video form.
If anyone wants to help feel free to MSN me at: [email protected] <------ I don't check that one for email, so no emails there please because they won't get answered.
I'm definatly up for any other ideas you may have, because I know what I'd like, but you all are the one watching it so put in some info, because that's what makes things great is input. I'm just trying to grab as broad of an audience as possible, because to be honest with you, yeah I'm tryin to get some cash back (hopefully break even) to help pay for my trip and continue making more videos. Who knows with luck maybe we'll get a normal crew up and be able to do something that we love for a living.
