I'm going to hold my tongue on this one.

I'd hardly call that a copy of a Nardi Deep Corn.

Brian
03-07-2007, 01:21 PM
that is nothing like Nardi.

!Zar!
03-07-2007, 01:21 PM
Nardi? lol No where close. It looks like something straight out the arcade.

I guess it could be called a copy if it was designed by the same blind 5yr old that made it.

Just buy a real wheel.

It's a steering wheel. As long as it doesn't break while in use what else is there to ask?

And I've used something as cheap as a knockoff ebay bride pos just to finish an event. That thing flexed like no tomorrow at the top. But was still, "useable". I'm pretty sure that NRG couldn't be any worse. Looks well construced...

I remember a friend of mine gave me a knockoff steering wheel that was similar.

One day I imagine I was the Hulk and bent the wheel with my bare hands into an oval.

It looks more like an OMP Corsica than a nardi. Knockoffs are whatever but I guess it's hard to really screw up something as simple as a steering wheel.

And blatantly showing you have multiple user names isn't exactly the best idea.

I was gonna say, looks like an OMP.

I like my Nardi wheel, I wouldn't have it any other way.

It is a sparco knock off. i got one of them, but with a suede instead leather wrap..

its nice, i paid like 60 for it. and for 60 bucks its worth it.

you can flex it but you do have to put effort into it.

BTW Panda garage is selling prety much the same thing for like 90 bucks so its cheaper than the site you listed.

WAHOO, yeah its not a nardi because we all need to spend 230 bucks on a steering wheel WAHOO

fuckin waste of money for a nardi . . . you can get the same thing at autozone w/ a different brand

only reason i said nardi was cause of the 3 spoke and dish design. and SP on irrelavant*

yeah because Bentley, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, etc... are all idiots who use Nardi.
There comes a point in time when one realizes what CLASS is.
Luxury.

I mean, hey go get your autozone special.

you dont need to spend 230 to get a nardi

if you're not baller just buy used. check ebay, forums, certain vendors, etc. for good prices. ghost-dancer.com used to have an assload of nardi and whatnot for cheap.

I still do not get how people make assessments on something they do not know anything about. I guess the bandwagon is bigger then I though.

Bandwagon has nothing to do with the reasons I find Nardi & Personal to be far superior to any other brand of wheels.

Better leather quality, better stitching, better construction, reputation, etc.

Does Rolex have a bandwagon too?

On a side note what the heck is that star wars death invader ray metal piece thing on the 3rd picture steering wheel?

I got it from KTS though so I can pretend its legit.

I don't really care about nardi. People get Nardi boat steering wheels and think they're baller for rolling Nardi.

I'd buy a Key's Racing wheel, but thats only because It has a big yellow KEYS' RACING ebroidered on it. Rice, awesome.

It's great that you like personal and nardi wheels. I have seen and felt them. They make nice wheels.

I just don't see how people knock on something they have never tried. They just go by what other people say. That is why I mentioned the bandwagon.

Have you ever seen the nrg ones in person?

Yes, I've seen NRG wheels in person.

I agree with not knocking something you haven't tried, but eh, I know enough to not want to use the NRG on my car.

Like I said before, to each his own, whatever fits your budget run it and be happy. I don't think I am better than someone else because I own a Nardi.

So what is that metal ring thing on the NRG wheel? I can't figure it out to save my life.

some clowns be typin on this board

heres some knowledge

that wheel is a copy of a Momo mod 07 wheel

you can get thoes wheels from
ebay
KTS
panda garage
NRG apparently now
and whoever else wants to call the china factory and put a different horn button sticker

they are about 50$ on ebay

i think they are ugly b/c the holes in the spokes looks stupid to me, and the face is like mega dish which is goofy when you have a qr and shit. its pretty good if you dont run a qr though.

they are fine. the suede feels fair enough. its not the best shit in the world but its not the thinnest either. kuah has one in his car.

there isnt really anything else that i can type about these things.

also since it is a momo copy, i dont run anything momo, because momo is for BFE boys.

Will nrg make me some magic with their own two hands?
Can you build an emerald city with these grains of ebay quick release hub?

I have one and i love it. leather stitching is strong had it on for a good 8 months or more. Went to a couple drift events with it and daily drive with it. leather is nice and stitching is good. Doesnt flex at all, No complaints here. for the price its way worth it.

Cheap is stupid. I've had three cheap steering wheels and now I'm rocking the Nardi Deep Corn. It's light years ahead of the rest. No flex, nice grip, and I just like admiring the workmanship while it's sitting on the dash after I take it off. High quality just feels better.

Knockoffs look like ass. You can put a genuine Momo or Nardi or Personal horn button on them and fool the morons who don't know quality because they're ricers. You cannot, however, fool anyone who has even a semblance of taste because the edges are not deburred as well, the finish is thinner, and the quality of the covering (both stitching and material) is lackluster.

Oh, and Bob has bitch tits.

I run a Nardi Sport Type A 330mm and I've never had any other kinds of aftermarket steering wheels besides this one that I have now. I love it, I have seen and felt other cheap knockoff ones and it just doesn't compare up to a Nardi at all. I'm just a firm believer in quality over quantity. You may be saving a little money right now, but hey if your going to spend the money on a cheap one right now, why not just save up the rest and get the best. Do it right the first time and you never have to do it twice.

i have a nardi. i got it for 80 shipped. i have it because it's tried and true and got a bad ass deal on it. not because i wanted to jump the fanboy wagon. people say you can't really fuck up a simple design as a wheel but i beg to differ. i've seen some cheap ass eBay wheels and they are crap. i laugh at those fanboys with the flexible steering wheels.

i have nothing against some of the other nrg parts. I even have one of their quick releases on one of my cars. their steering wheels, however are pretty cheap looking. it doesn't make sense to buy something like that, given you could get a much nicer wheel like a base personal or momo monte carlo wheel for just a bit over 100 bucks.

if you're going nickle and dime over $20 or whatever the difference is between a nrg and a monte-carlo, then you shouldn't even bother wasting $$$ on an aftermarket steering wheel setup to begin with imo.

nardi wheels are great, but i couldn't see myself blowing over $200 on a steering wheel. i prefer a cheaper, small diameter 300mm personal or momo :)
