Check under the underdash fusebox for the CONSULT connector.

All 91-up cars have a CONSULT plug.

I need to restate my configuration. I have a 1990 nissan 240sx with a 98 engine. I used a 93 engine harness plus ecu and distributor to make it all work together. I do not have a conzult plug but think that one can be wired into the harness if I knew which wires to access.

Thanks for all the replies so far.

FSM.

There's a total of five wires, three from the ECU, ground, and ignition. Very, very simple.

does it require a special cable to access the ecu.

IN order to read from the consult port, you will need some sort of cable and a device (N Probe/Conzult/CalumSult) to read it...

When I swapped my Redtop in my 97, the consult wasn't wired into the conversion harness...I actually wired the port in it direct, and put the connector on the passenger side, as I knew it would make it easier than having to tangle the cord all over the driver when reading from it :D
