I'm installing a 17/16 MC today on my ABS S14. I realize that one of the front outputs needs to be plugged but does it matter which one needs to be plugged? I ask this b/c I'd have to bend my one brake line if the one by the booster needs to be used but wouldn't have to bend the brake line if the middle output was used.

I'm thinking it doesn't matter which one I use, just wasn't sure if the fluid output was the same pressure from either of the spots.

Thanks

Plug the middle one. It matters because front and rear proportioning is different.

Yes, but are each of the front brake outputs on the cylinder the same proportion?

The only time I have seen this is on Hondas where the brakes are linked diagonally, opposite corner to opposite corner.

I would say it does not matter which front port you use. Just put the rear line into the rear port and plug up the other unused front port.

That's what I thought just wasn't sure. I mean they can't really be different because if they were, there would be different pressure going to each caliper up front on non-abs cars. I just wanted to make sure before installing and couldn't find the answer on the forums.

I have not disassembled a Z32 master cylinder so I cannot tell you for sure, but I'm using it on a non-ABS car which means I use both front ports.

If there is a proportioning difference, I would be in trouble if I swapped the front lines.

The only difference I can see is that the left line is longer than the right line, or vice versa on a US car, but I cannot confirm for sure. The pressure difference would be so minor anyhow.

If someone would like to chime in and provide evidence please feel free.
