I plan on eventually turboing my car, but until I finish my degree Ill stay NA. At the moment Im running an S14 upper mani mated to a 3" SR DP. I dont think its doing much but making the car louder, and I cant get a gasket to seal for more than a week. So I'm looking for a fairly cheap header option. First I've found a 4-2-1 S13 header on ebay thats for an S13, and Ive been reading that the KA responds better to the 4-2-1. Option 2 replaces the S14 upper mani with tubular 4-1 header.

Option 1:

Option 2:

What do you think would be the better option, my car is mainly a DD, but I may try to do some events this summer. Given these two which would be a better option?

I think your links suck.

I ran the OBX header on my S14 for 2yrs with no problems. Some heat in the floor board when pushing it. Sitting on the shelf in great condition Just some different colors. I guess option 1 from your description.

I would also get the Project Silvia(Nissan) resonated test pipe if you haven't replaced the fake cat with a real cat. Helps the tone out a lot.

If you're already discussing how loud it is, a full header will be three times as bad.

And any header design will net the same power, about 5-6HP. Pick the cheapest one since you're planning on pulling it anyway.

Well the first is basically a ripoff of hotshot, and the 2nd is like the old greddy header. Ive already got a resonated test pipe, and I plan on replacing that with a hiflo cat. Russ itll be a while before I have a degree, ~2yrs.... engineering is tough. I think I met you years ago when I stayed with JJ during a drift event at Lowes.
