i recently installed my neo and upon installation i went throught the set up process. i have a z32 MAf so i set it to 2 in and 6 out...yadda yadda yadda. 4 cylinder throttle setting in the up position. air map was zeroed acros the board. so no fuel correction. went to start the car and it started and idled at about 2 grand for 5 seconds and then died. :loco: so i tried again and all it would do is try to turn over. i have fuel pressure and im pretty sure im getting spark. i dont understand it. all of the wiring is good and sodered in (no butt clips) i followed the diagram exactly. the z32 is brand new along with the pigtail. all of the hardware came with the Apexi super suction kit so its new. every time i initialize the settings and go back to check them they are all messed up its set to six cylinder and throttle is down position. and the in and out settings are back to 1. any ideas? or does anyone have a stock ecu and 100 bucks so i can just send it to JWT and throw this damn afc neo off a fuckin bridge!?

When you initialize it you are compleaty resetting the safc back to what they put in from the factory, so none of your settings are rememberd.

Can you start the car if you unplug the safc and the maf?

in just blunt ref to your post...

if the afc is unplugged there is not signal for maf at all but the car should fire up in "limp mode' of sorts (dont know technical term so dont rape me)...

wont rev over 2500 rpms however

If the car starts and idles normal up to 2500 rpm in limp mode, then you know it is an issue regarding the safc, wiring, or settings etc.

If it dosent then you have other issues.

see i was told that when you initialize the afc it saves the settings. guess i was mis informed. so i can just go in and set everything up and it should work. i have also been told that im going to have some trouble running the Z32 MAF? but it is possible to run it by changing the in and out settings. so that it will run the correct voltage.
