Ive always been told to be careful when you buy a 240. You should always make sure that someone has installed the hardened narps. Not all narps are blow proof. you really dont want the narps to blow while bangin' gears. Ask me how i know.

A narp (short for "intake narp") is a valve under your intake that controls differential pressure and vacuum flow across your intake valve. It is critical that your narps be properly calibrated to your engine displacement. Nissan had a run of improperly calibrated narps that caused a cylinder reversion problem. Luckily they corrected that problem in 1993. There are still many Nissans out there with improperly sized narps.

Ask that guy Pauly Walnuts. I warned him about it, but he didn't believe me. He bought the teflon coated narps. I told him to get the hardened titanium ones. He didn't take my advice. His cylinder reversion was so pronounced that it caused his timing chain to break. He tried to save money and it cost him more in the long run.

Worst part about the teflon coated narps is that the teflon wears out over time. This causes the flow pattern around the narp to expand and cause cylinder reversion. There are few mechanics that truly understand narp function, much less diagnose it.

what do u guys think

Yeah this is a common first upgrade. I think I got my narps put in before I even got a differential flange warmer.

Look at this...........Everyone is all worried about their Narps when everyone knows that Foreskin bushings always go bad way before Narps and can leave you a lot worse off when not replaced or serviced properly.

I just spent all my tax return ordering my JDM blinker fluid from Performance. I needed it for my amber/clear turn signals. Narps are on the list. I have been looking for the JDM ones for the single cam.

Tomei has a kit with inconel narps, chassis fluid and four hood support gaskets, plus all the correct lines and fluids for 345 dollars, and that includes tire shims and a pre-notched ring land converter set

Just hope that you don't cut your firing order, because you can only buy 6ft at a time.
