What wheels are on it now? Because we have to know the old wheels to know how much 10mm closer to the is.

oh sorry, it is 17x9 +20 with 245/40/17, I would like to fit 17x10 (comes in +12 +25 +35) with 275/40/17

10s won't clear front coils at +12 with 275/40, I would guess.
First determine whether or not you need the additional weight and rubber. If you do, decide whether or not you might want to go to 18s with 285/30R18s for a smaller overall size.
How much power are you putting down and what kind of suspension mods do you have?

what size tires are you running? also, what kind of tires. I you are running like 225 on 9 inch rims go bigger tires, or to a better tire at the least.

I think 17x10+35 with 275/40 will fit rear with not a lot of camber. I am not sure of coilover clearance though.

Then get wide body...

how about some more information on what you have now. and what kind of traction are you looking for, in corners or under acceleration. wider tires may not be the answer. better tires or not pressing the gas as hard are good options.
