what else can i use as a front brake pad clip (the clip that goes inside the retaining clip) no one around my area has one and i cant wait a week for it.
i was thinking about a paper clip....:x:

We're talking about your brakes here. IMO, thats no place to get creative...

Your question makes no since. There's a large clip that secures the pads, and a thin wire clip that secures the pins.
Pull a Mcguyver and use paperclips, sure its safe...

You can't just use paper clips,... you have get the length and width right with duct-tape.....;)jk

Cotter pins work better, or a hitch pin so it's easily removable.

the pin (long metal jobby that spans the width of the caliper and holds the pads up) is secured at the very end by a cotter key, the cotter key can be engineered with a paper clip, sure, but the pins themselves, meh, a bolt may work but i wouldnt. As far as the long metal clip that covers the top of the pads and bridges the pins, that I went without on on my car. The pins themselves work just fine at holding the pads in. The metal shim clip is mainly to keep the pads from moving around when off of the brakes.
