shock question

i know i've heard if you put lowering springs in your car with stock shocks they will most likely blow out on you in the near future , but is it ok to put KYB AGX shocks in my car with the stock springs(hopefully not for long)if it matters i have an s13

AGX Shocks are adjustable, so there should be no problem with correctly dampening the stock springs.  Too-soft springs wouldn't necessarily blow out the shocks anyways (unless the springs were excessively soft causing the shocks to bottom out all the time, which stock springs are not [excessively soft, that is]).

You'd actually be able to get a good performance increase replacing the stock shocks with AGX's, even with stock springs.
