been noticing that my water temps seems to have gotten a little high later. another thing i have been noticing is that my radiator is losing coolant. i read that when the water pump is failing it will start to release coolant. my friend noticed a little coolant under the water pump in may before the engine went in. and told me to replace it when i get a chance. i have a new (since may) oem thermostat, koyo rad and altima fans. car doesnt burn coolant, reservoir is clean and so is oil. oh and one more thing i noticed is that when the rpms get higher the temp actually drops. so far the other day it went as high as 200 F but i stopped the car and turned it off. any suggestions?

i figured as much. i will order it tonite. another thing is that my sr has 148k kilomters which is like almost 90k miles. dunno if the water pump was ever changed.
if coolant is leaking from the weep-hole (bottom of the pump) then it's going out and needs a change. i drove my car around for 6 months with a leaking pump hah.

it sux cuz i gotta be weary and keep checking the level. did your car overheat at all?
only overheated going up hill at 6% grade (cajoan pass in so cal). that was during the summer at 110f degree lol. I also run a crappy stock AC E-fan, should be running clutch fan with shroud; other than that, nope. i just filled up my coolant every week or two, it doesn't loose that much. maybe 12oz at MOST everyweek.

mine looses almost half the radiator a week. the highest it gets is 195. once i see that i turn on the heat and rev it up a lil and they come down. woe is me lol
