Here are some pictures from today. The car is running very well and we are all happy with its performance. I hope everything holds together for tomorrow, and hopefully we will have a shot at a podium finish!

kuah how much hp/tq are you running. you guys are pulling pretty hard off the kink heading towards the bridge. I had the dual stop-watch on you and that 997 gt3. Very damn close. The GMG ex world challenge GT porsche is unreal to be in your class. Definately will stop by to say hi and what not.

SPL parts placed 2nd in class behind the NSX sponsored by the strip club. Chris Rado had his TC do a garage sale of engine internals on the start/finish straight

The car has never been dynoed, but we are estimating in the high 400whp range. The GMG street porsche GT2 pulled some car lengths on us on the straights, according to GMG that car had custom engine management and KKK turbos putting out only 500whp, but I suppose it could be that the car had a much more torque, broader power band, and better gear ratios.
Here is a video from the second session on Saturday against the GMG porsche piloted by Sonfras, keep in mind this was only Ryan's second session ever on this track while the GMG cars have already tested and setup their car perfectly for this track. Notice how badly it pulled on us exiting corners, though we were faster through the corners.

Not to sure if this is his current setup.
Mod list is fairly accurate, except I have an open exhaust now, as well as the pro front lower arms and pro tie rod ends.
SPL parts placed 2nd in class behind the NSX sponsored by the strip club.
We were first in class after the first session, and we were expecting to go faster in the second session as the weather was much cooler so we would have more grip and hp. We also had on a second grippier set of tires with less heat cycles on them, and I tweaked the tuning to put out a little more hp. At that point we were shooting to beat the Crawford Sti and set the fastest time overall in Modified class. Unfortunately part of the shifter linkage broke before we could even get a complete lap in on the second session, and it was nothing we can fix there. So we had to rely on the time set in the first session, which was still good enough for 2nd in class. Ah well, such is racing...
what kind of tires are you guys running on?
Nitto NT-01, 275 front and 315 rear

I was there and saw the car in action... It was impressive to see a 90's car going up against so many newer cars...
Kuah, why the open exhaust?

Mainly due to constraints of making a diffuser. But it sounds pretty badass IMO :)
kuah, how much boost were you running ?
18 PSI, still have room for more power.

how did the NT-01s fare ?? Throughtout the weekend. I know some people in the slower classes were claiming the 615s but, I'm biased towards the NT-01s. How'd the grip levels fare from saturday to the rain on sunday and after it dried ???

I dont know if this is the right place to ask this, but is there judges officiating? Cause that porsche blatantly shortcutted the course, that lap time should have been dissallowed.

It was just the practice session from Saturday, so it was no big deal... the porsche was all over the place though, I heard later from a GMG mechanic that James Sofronas got a little flustered because he was not expected our car to stay on his tail :)

The RT615 is a tire for Street class, the NT-01 is only allowed in Modified class. They are supposed to be the same compound as the RA-1, but with bigger thread blocks, so equivalent to a shaved RA-1...
If you run modified class, then I think the tire to use is the Kumho V700, which was what the Crawford Sti was using. In retrospect that was a tire I should have looked at, I didn't know it was legal for Modified. For street class from what I heard the tire to use is the Falken RT615.
I can't really comment on the grip levels through the weekend since I was not driving, but highest grip level Ryan reported was the final session Sunday (which was unfortunately cut short for us due to the broken shifter linkage).
