Where: Gateway International Raceway in Madison IL

When: March 17th

Registration is open for a practice day on the Road course at Gateway Raceway. It'll be fast and you'll be able to hit 3rd gear.

Cost: $100 to drift. Day of will cost $125

Spectators: $5

Driver cap: 50

Time:

Gates open for drivers at 8:00 am

Tech from 8:00 - 10:00 am

Drivers Meeting at 10:30 am

First car off at 11:00 am

Gates for spectators open at 10:00 am

Drifting is over by 5:00 pm

Cleared out by 6:00 pm

lol why the hell would you want to go to IL lol, there is NOTHING to do there at all. Its worse than MO in my opinion. Except for Chicago, they have an awsome scene up there!

Actually, we are trying to have all the drivers registered within the new 2-3 weeks. Because if we dont get enough drivers to drive in the event, we cant make the event happen. So if you are considering going, go ahead and register ASAP!!!:2f2f:

My guess is honestly, you will probaly be able to almost hot lap. between 10:00 and 5:30, you'll be able to get more track time that you will have tires for.

that forum required 1 post to view the events... ohwell. Anyways I believe JeffS and I posted sometime back on SCCAforums.com asking whether or not we can just run racing lines, but we never got an ansewer. quoting what JeffS asked on SCCAforums:

How is this going to be run? Specifically, will there be Multiple cars on course? Passing? Different run groups separated by experience?

Can I just run a racing line? I have negative JDM-ness cool point

The event is mainly a drifting event. There will be 1 car run at a time, unless you have a cage with door bars, then we will allow tandem runs. There willl be no groups necessary, because there will be only 1 driver at a time. We are strongly encouraging drift drivers only, but frankly, if you guys want to register, i really dont care if you dont drift it at all...

I will, when the forum was revamped, Matt (the legal owner of Driftstl.com) removed mine and Scotts power, and only gave us limited moderation power...some bullshit if you ask me, because matt is NEVER on the forum anyways. So i have been hearing the same thing from many people, and i apologize for it.
