I got Robbed today

Today, during my launch break i decided to go to the local mall to pick up  some jeans. anyway, i drive my black 97 to the mall and park it away from everyone and right near a camera. well i go in, buy my shit and walk out and look at my car. I find it looks different but just cant explain what it is. so i look at it a little more and notice my "silvia" emblem is not there. i go to the front and see the "S" lightning emblem isnt either. before thinking they fell off, i notice my windshield wipers not there either. Now i know some one took them. i also notice my lock punched in and door unlocked. they took my cd's, ripped out my boost controller but didnt take it and took my cell phone charger. F*cking PATHETIC.

so now i am flipping out and go to security to look at the video. talk to the on-duty rent-a-cop and tells me the camera was not turned on and turns on after 3pm and shuts off at 12pm. so now i am ready to beat the ever living day out of this cop and then he tops it off with saying "SORRY!"

so i left the mall and went back to work.

JUST HAD TO TELL THIS SO I CAN RELIEVE THIS STRESS AND ANGER.

Man that sucks, but arent you happy it was just some 12 year old chalkies instead of some guys that actually knew about cars and what stuff was worth. You know they thought it was a "tight" Honda symbol that no one has..well probaly.

Look on the bright side, at least they didn't jack your car. There's not much you can do on the emblems, but you can invest in a alarm with start kill just to save your ride and all that work you've done to it.

Whoever messed aroudn with your car has got to be dumb, why the hell would you steal a cell phone charger, you are lucky they didn't steal uch of anything else.

And about that 510, that is really fucked up, I would probably start crying if I had put that much time and work into my car and it got stolen. I seriously hope someone find his car, and they fuck this guy over. The people who steal a Datsun must know about cars cuz datsuns aren't on your everyday list of cars stolen. By now he probably took the engine and shit.

This kinda crap makes skeptical about parking cars, in places other than my driveway. I wonder if there is a way to put a tracker on an engine, so you know where it is when it gets stolen.

You should check into suing the mall...or store...or wherever, for not having the cameras turned on. &nbsp;The mall may settle out of court and replace your items. &nbsp;Even if you dont sue, if you talk to the VERY high ups at the store, they might compensate you for your losses. &nbsp;You never know unless you ask.

i think mbmbmb23 has a point. &nbsp;this is a case that you should bring up against the mall or specifically the security because they have acted in a negligent manner and have not provided the public service that they are paid to do. &nbsp;this is definitley a case of negligence and if you get the right lawyer you could have a case....the only downside is that if you have to appear in court you will have to take off of work and therfore lose money, which in turn defeats the purpose. &nbsp;but you should really look into it and talk to the "higher-ups" &nbsp; i personnaly think you have a case as long as you can find a lawyer willing to persue it.....i mean if people can sue Disney World for tramatizing (sp) their children, when they went backstage and saw the workers dressed up in their costumes without the heads on, you could definitley make this work....

This is what's wrong with our legal system- sue somebody for not performing a free service. . . Can't find the bad guy? Sue the closest guy who could have potentially prevented it. Lawsuits are a top reason why healthcare is so expensive, why auto insurance is so expensive, and any number of other things. I'm sick of every thread about somebody getting robbed ending up with a "sue that other guy" post in it.

I feel your pain dude. Sunday night/Monday morning, some dick (or dicks) shot out my window and stole my system out of my trunk. About $1600 worth. On top of that, the door is chipped to shit from the falling glass.


Note to S14 owners, if you have to get a drivers or passenger side window, get it from a junkyard. Glass places charge from 600-700 for the window due to the hardware being incorporated in the window itself.

ok, &nbsp;i am going back to the mall today at lunch and going to talk to the head of security to see if they can cover the door lock and emblems.

i found a black door handle for 95 bucks with the lock and i am just going to give the past receipts for the emblems to them and tell them to pay for it.

i bought wipers, i needed new ones anyway and i put the boost controller(which they didnt know how to take out) back together.

P.S. the funny thing that my father laughs about is that i had my CD's in the car when i dont even have a CD Player. I was bringing them to work.

AND I AM NOT GOING TO SUE. I BELIEVE SUEING IS ONLY ACCEPTABLE IF U PHYSICALLY GET HURT OR LOOSE ALOT OF MONEY. I ONLY LOST LIKE 150 BUCKS. &nbsp;NOW IF IT WAS THE CAR IN GENERAL, THAT IS A DIFFERENT STORY.

technically, you are paying for security by purchasing something from the mall. in this case, boosted14 paid a premium on his jeans (a small one, but still a premium) for the security service in the mall which they did not provide. this isnt going to be a million dollar lawsuit, just one of a $100 or so. not like $1 mil for spilling hot coffee or something. i say go to the store and talk to ppl.
