yep, today i cracked open the first can of bondo to grace my 240 fastback. hope i don't have to do another one...
the rust in question? under my spoiler of course. the middle two brackets.
i've got one of the holes almost ready to prime, and the other one sanded and ready to get bondo'd up... and then of course there's the remains of the outermost brackets to atend to. those holes will require more sanding and more bondo, i'm certain. i just pray to the god of Duplicolor that this paint matches up.
but anyway... bondo is a bitch to work with... and, why the hell did nissan find it necessary to put a freakin' FOAM spoiler on the fastback? is it not deserving enough to have a metal one like the coupe? seriously, why did they do that?
i'm thinking about getting the Erebuni 3-piece wing- yeah, the one that resembles a Mk. II MR2 wing. any comments on that?
also.. anyone have any tips for me, the bondo and duplicolor newbie? i don't want to have big blotches on my tailgate that don't match the rest of the car....

The fastback was not the only car Nissan put a foam spoiler on.  The 90-92 300ZX Twinturbo has a crappy foam spoiler too.  But the rust issue is not as bad.  As for the bondo as much on as needed and sand down.  Its not as hard as you think.  But them again I have a body man as a freind so he helps me out with all my body work.
