I got this link (http://www.superchips.com/import_a_nissan.html) from 200sx.org but it's for the 240sx. I was just wondering if anyone had more info on it.

You can be a guinea pig but i doubt you will get those kind of umbers, and whats up with them putting 91-95 240SX, I understand 91-94 or 91-98 but I guess there either is a slight difference or they are a shady company. I'd say stick with JWT

Superchips is a reputable company but i think they meant to put 91-94. Those chips might only be able to work with the OBDI system of the older 240s

I had their chip in my 95 Probe GT, it made a nite and day difference under heavy throttle, removed the speed limiter and pushed the rev limiter from 7000 to 8000rpm,.... almost mimicing the jap-spec KL-ZE ECU. I'm considering it for the 240, but I like the fact that JWT has several upgades for future applications that S/C doesn't have.

Yeah, I think it's only for S13s. I read on 240sx.org that it costs $400. Still sucks that you have to send your ECU though.

effectively, isn't the drive train for 91-95 effectively the same? those are the years for obd 1, but body style has little to nothing to do with motor performance

I'm not sure of all 95's but my 95 S14 is OBD2.

OBDI = On Board Diagnostic I ---- pre 1996 model year cars

OBDII = On Board Diagnostic II ---- 1996 and newer cars

The main difference is that OBDII places stricter limits regarding fuel efficiency and cleanliness. It was created to help cars run more effectively and burn less fuel.

It does it's intended job very well, but creates a major pain in the ass when it comes to modifications. It doesn't allow mods to effect the engine's performance as much as they would on an OBDI equipped car.
