It is now official. Kognition Design has teamed up with Redline Events (http://www.redlinetimeattack.com/) to provide contingency sponsor support for the 2007 Redline Time Attack Series. This is one of a handful of very big steps for Kognition this year. With the focus on track performance composites. we hope to improve the quality standard for carbon composites in our market industry. While we are aware of the endless amounts of money that we all drop into our beloved cars, Kognition has stepped up to the plate to provide CASH awards for placing drivers using our track parts.
The award amounts as follows:
1st $500
2nd $300
3rd $100
/////
Several of the parts listed in our contingency list are in the tooling and production stage this month. Those parts become available thru our dealers next month.
http://www.redlinetimeattack.com/Contingency_KOG.htm
And the eligible parts list can be found here: http://www.redlinetimeattack.com/docs/Eligible%20Parts%20List.pdf
I want to thank all of the forum members that have given their support during
the growth of our small company.

We have started on the S13 Silvia hood mold finally, it will be ready in Feb. The msrp on our carbon race hoods is $900 to $1,200 depending on the model. We have started testing with a new self extinguishing flame resistant foam core that has brought the average hood weight down to 6 lb's.

Much of our new stuff is not up yet, the Redline guys wanted our 07' product list that qualifies for cash awards, so i had to list it all even though some parts aren't ready this month. While we are the smallest contingency sponsor, our awards are higher than that of Swift and JIC. While most of our efforts for this year revolve around the G and the Z, i have included the S13 and S14 to promote more incentive to get guys out there on the track. We are going to be working up an undertray profile for the S13 shortly, but i am currently finishing up the S14 undertray design. FYI: This is the real deal, as in prepare to drop your current exhaust for one the goes out behind the front wheel. Theres no room under there for a full length exhaust and a race grade undertray. And the exhaust heat would warp the epoxy laminates on the core panel.
Thanks.

I cannot say at this time, since we are in track testing until March on it. But if i had to guess, i would say between $1,500 and $2,500. That would include your front air dam and splitter (which extends back to meet the undertray), and the large central undertray panel, then ending with the rear diffuser. I know it sounds like alot, it is alot hell. But that's why we are really testing the hell out of it to make certain it is worth buying.

will you be making an s14 front spliter/dam? like just a front spliter/dam combo that caould also connect to the tray?

I am making a complete race bumper for the Kouki first, and the bumper will extend down to the splitter. So you wont need an air dam.

Ok, I have to ask:
What is the price on the S13 sunroof delete, if it's being produced?
What is the price on the S13 carbon roof, if it's being produced?
Since my car is getting closer and closer to a full-track car, I cannot help but ask. Also, that price on the hood is a bargain.
Hey cool stuff Mike. Glad to see Kognition coming up throughout the year. I'll be out there to check out the time attack. Btw let me know if/when the s14 Kouki hoods will be ready because I still want one!

thats good to hear.
its nice to see a new company making parts for 240s that are NOT cheap knock BS, but rather trying to take a step forward in the market.

Since last months Time Attack, i have been really busy trying to reorganize some aspects of our production process. It's not easy, none of this stuff is. Right now, i have to outfit three Evo's and three T.T. 350 z's with front aero setups that will be running the Redline Time Attack next month. Not to mention three race hoods for those Z's. Not even counting my car, which is running next month also. So i have been drinking lots of coffee to make this thing work. :bash:
On the roof clips, you must have a solid 6 point RC. And be ready to drop about
$1,500 to lose the 60 to 70 lb's over your head. Again, pricey and not for everyone. We just make it possible if someone wants it.

Sounds like you guys are swamped Mike. Wish I had the fabrication skills to give you a hand. Keep us posted on all the new parts. I'm sure there are other's who'd like to see all the projects, not just the 240 stuff. Be sure and snap more pics of the Z's and Evo's so we can drool over the CF craftsmanship. :rawk:

I'll take many pics, just pray for me that i can get their parts made by the 10th.
Otherwise i will be the most unpopular fool out there. :ugh:
