First off happy new years to everybody and drinks on the house JK. :coold:

so I in the beginnig stages of my rebuild and I've done lots of research on my ka24de to better under stand it. In the process I came of across some interesting info about the 98' altima piston rings. Its said that you can use the altima rings in the 240sx ka24de and that they were stonger than aftermarket rings. so what I wanted to know is have you guys ever herd of this?
Is it safe to do? and does this apply to all model year 240sx? Also what berings do you guys recomend I was considering toga berings what do you guys recomend. I apologize for all the questions but if I come across any thing I dont recognize why not ask the experts HUH!

I would say with bearings stick to OEM bearings. I have not heard of better bearings yet.

new oem bearings this engine is going to be turbo with a 300hp power goal.
so your saying the stock bearing can hold up to the amount of hp if so cool, but what about those Altima piston rings have you guys heard any thing about that can anyone vouch for that or is that just buch of crap and not even worth the time.

I would say it's a bunch of crap since they don't sell enough, so sellers tell you they are better eventhough they are the same. I would get OEM since they built the engine and know the exact specs. Good Luck!!!

98+ Altima piston rings are made with a little bit stronger material, it's been proven for a long time now.

As for bearings, keep it OE, just make sure they're the correct grade for the rod/crank.
