****THE RPS CYN-R-G Patented FLYWHEEL****
Absolutely the very best flywheel you can buy.

http://www.powertrix.com/RPSflywheel.JPG http://www.powertrix.com/clutchline.JPG

RPS guarantees that all of the segmented wear surfaces are fully replaceable for the life of your car. CYN-R-G Segmented flywheels utilize our patented (6,793,057) "segmented" heat shield system.

Traditional heat shields warp because of the uneven heat produced by a slipping clutch. Just like a car going around in a circle, the outside tires go faster than the inside tires, the clutch disc slides faster around the outside of the flywheel than it does around the inside. The faster moving outside surface gets hotter than the inside surface. Because metal expands more the hotter it gets, the outside of the heat shield expands more than the inside. Traditional heat shields are made of one piece metal rings, so when the outside expands more than the inside, the only thing the shield can do is warp.

The CYN-R-G Segmented heat shields are not connected so they can expand and contract without warping. A warped heat shield causes the clutch to slip, which causes more heat and more warpage.
Our flywheels are typically 10 to 15 lbs. lighter than the factory units which allows up to 20 more HP to get to the wheels!!

FOR SR20DET:
ZILVIA MEMBER PRICING: $425.00
List price $500.00

Description: The last flywheel you will ever have to buy. The patented segmented heat shield design will not warp like other common one piece heat shields. RPS CYN-R-G flywheels are highly engineered with these benefits like dynamically balanced, crushed Heli coil inserts, stepped dowel pins, and over-sized lock-down bolts that are welded to the ring gear for positive retention.
Weight: 11 lbs.

OPTIONAL INSTALLATION KIT:

Choosing the Right Clutch the First Time:

First and foremost you need to decide what you plan to do with your vehicle. Are you going to race the car or simply drive it on the street, or maybe both? The big difference h is, if you plan to race the car at ALL it will change the decision on what type of clutch disc you will require. Using a "street' disc for racing (drag or any type of slipping environment) will "glaze" the surface of this OEM type material. A street disc is made of organic material made for long life and smooth engagement. It is not in any way intended for drag racing as it can permanently damage any street disc.

A street disc combined with a high clamp load pressure plate (Max series) will hold good power once fully engaged. This makes the street disc great for road racing and normal driving with high power and also good for high speed freeway runs. Remember what the duty of your clutch CAN be, getting a 2400 lb car moving from a dead stop and spinning the flywheel at 4000 to 8000 RPM and wanting the two to connect. Using a smooth organic material will not going to work for long! Doing this will absolutely glaze the disc or tear it. Once the disc is glazed, it will no longer hold the same power and it will slip.

A 6 (or any #) puck disc is designed for this type of abuse. The 6 puck disc has a variety of different materials in it; which includes ceramic and brass. This material will bite harder and slipping it will not glaze the material, but will accelerate wear. Picture this type of disc as a sticky tire. It will stick and hook much better, but will wear out faster.

The 6 puck disc with the latest materials are lasting about 20K on average. Of course this all depends on your left foot AND if it is properly adjusted! A street disc when not drag raced can last about 40K on average in a high powered Z. The 6 puck material has come a long way over the years and it tends to last much longer now. They also have become much smoother as well. RPS makes the sprung hub 6 puck and it is very street able.
If you plan on doing any drag racing at all we would strongly suggest only a six puck clutch. For the ultimate hardcore drag racers, we ALSO recommend the Max series. The Max does have a slightly heavier pedal feel, but once again it is highly street able.

can i get a price for the RPS street sport for KA shipped to 92507?

my clutch is dead...

will the sport street clutch be able to take the beating of an occasional drift day... maybe once a month or two?

i'm broke and 95% of my driving is daily driving / spirited street driving...

I used to use the RPS sport 6 puck on my stock KA back in the day and it took the beating of drift events and daily driving really well. It was easy to drive on the street as well. A lot of the guys out at JD use RPS. Never heard one person say anything bad about them.

Nowadays I use the RPS max 6 puck on my 300whp SR and it takes the beating of drift events really well. I only drive my car to track days and back but I can tell you that the pedal is stiff as hell so I wouldn't recomend it for daily driving unless you get a nismo slave to soften things up.

Aaron uses RPS max with street disc.
Lindsay used RPS max with street disc.
Brian uses RPS sport with street disc.

Price for RPS Sport 6 puck and segmented flywheel for a Z32 NA please.

+1 for RPS. I ran one in my Hatch and loved it. I ran a RPS Sport 6 puck and the pedal feel was very close to stock, but man did that thing grip. Held up at the track too.
