Alright,
Been having some prob lately starting my car when the engine is cold. I would have to give it gas to start and it would bog for a second and then run fine. I went to start the car the other day, and the car turns over fine but won't start. I give it gas, the car turns over and over but won't start. I had this same prob one time, and it turned out my fuel pump had a bad ground. I have yet to check it out b/c it has been raining the past few days, but I was wondering if this sounds like a prob w/the fuel pump, or could a clogged filter cause this as well? I hope its not my fuel pump b/c I bought it brand new from the dealership(Twin turbo supra pump) and it wasn't cheap. I hope this wasn't too vague but I need to know where I should start. I don't think it matters but, I have an s14 sr.
Edit...So I just checked the fuse(15a) and its fine. I took out the relay and I'm not sure if its the prob.
I tested all contacts from the relay and this is what happened 3 and 5 show power but 1 and 2 don't. According to this diagram on the relay...
3 o__o / o__o 5
1 o___m____o 3
...3 and 5 are switched legs and 1 and 3 should be constant, correct? With the key turned in the "on" position 3 & 5 have power but 1 and 3 dont...does the relay being in place make them turn "on"?
You know I'm gonna make a jumper for 1 & 3 and see if that will solve it.
