i tried a few things to get my car to run better than it is. i set the timing to factory specs. that wasn't it. i made sure the intercooler piping was all tightened down. that wasn't it. maybe i should just weld my piping so i can just eliminate that problem all together....i am stumped now cuz i really thought that the timing was just off. the car still sputters, it won't idle and it back fires like it did when my ignitor chip went out. i can't boost it past 5lbs or lower. i can't even get on the gas at all. it is very hesitant. please helppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!

are you still using the MAF?
MAF could be gone, bad plugs, bad ignition packs, bad wiring, etc

Are you running a stock fuel pump? I had not installed my walbro fuel pump when i first got my sr running and it wouldn't go past 4 lbs. before cutting on me.

fuel pump shouldnt be a problem unless it went bad. Ive been running my stock fuel pump since I dropped my sr in and I havent had any problems with raising my boost past stock settings. check for vaccum leaks, double check your i/c piping. pull your mafs off and clean the sensor, make sure your timing is at 15 degrees, make sure your tps is reading .5v. did you look at your turbo before you installed your engine to make sure it wasnt blown or have any shaft play?

hmm..if you cant boost over 5 pounds then it may sound like your turbo is blown. check the intercooler....it might have a lil hole or something somewhere. make sure the stock bov isnt stuck open.

thanks for all of your info but my turbo is new, my fuel pump is new. my intercooler should be fine. i hope it doesn't have any holes. i will check that soon. i will also check the tps. i have an extra one. acually i have a lot of extras because i am on my third sr20. anyone need anything??? i have a good t25, a good gt28, and a bad t25. i also ahve a good gt2871r but that is on my car now. i have a good ka tranny. and bunch of other stuff. i have a set of 5 lug se rims from a 95. thanks again for all the info. i forgot to say that a stock fuel pump can definatly hold its own. i was running atleast 12lbs on my gt28 and the fuel pump had no problem keeping up. i am running a walboro now.
