Trust DD Exhaust vid clips anyone?

Alright i've been searching around on zilvia and FA for vids of a Trust DD exhaust on an NA S14 or a Turbo'ed S14. All the links are dead because they are discontinued and they've stopped selling them for some time. But i still want to hear what it sounds like. Yes i've read multiple times it sounds like you're running with an open cat and this and that, but i rather hear it for myself.

And yes i know its LOUD so please don't state the obvious.

A vid of a trust dd exhaust on an s13 would be ok but i rather hear it on an s14.

Trust DD's aren't that loud with turbo.

That car sounds like it has a fatty exhaust leak.


If you're looking for sound why does it matter how the car looks that is producing it?

The s14 and s13 sound different even though the motors are the same. My friends apexi N1 exhaust on his s13 sounds noticably different than my friends s14 with the exact N1 exhaust and yes they were both stock. I'm guessing the bends on the exhaust contributed to the different sounds it made? not 100% sure but that would be my guess.

Well i know any exhaust that has a turbo would be noticably lower than an NA, but the trust DD on an NA is already pretty loud so i'm assuming on a turbo'ed car it would be just perfect.

If you do purchace them, sell me a silencer. haha.

why, am i wrong? do they sound exactly the same if an aftermarket exhaust is on, which is exactly the same? for example an Apexi N1?

When I get my car back up I'll take a sound clip for you.

Ah, that video clip was my car, but it was also on a camera video phone, so the sound quality is horrible. Car was ridiculously loud. Yuck.

is there a leak in your exhaust or is that what it sounds like at idle? i'm still looking for a video that shows the true power of the exhaust. i would like to hear the exhaust at least 4k rpm +

i just had a quick question. i saw an trust dd exhaust for sale and it says s13, s14 and s15. i'm pretty sure the s14 and s13 exhausts are made different and the bends and hangers are located differently. would anyone know why the person would post such a title?

Well, I've been meaning to record audio of my DD's, so here you go.

They are the said ^^^ whored out DD's, but still sound and function fine ;)

Setup is S13 w/ redtop, gt28r. Turbo elbow, dp, and high flow cat are all 3".

The silencers are on and one of the previous owner's thought it would be great to replace the resonator with a y-pipe, so there is no resonator.

Rev up to around 2k first few times and last rev past 3k.

I'm really pleased with how they sound as it was exactly how I wanted. Raw, throaty and grumbling, almost like an inline 6. Oh yeah, and they are fairly loud, but nothing that will give you headache or anything.

I dont quite undestand the point of this thread. Reason is sure you get an 'idea' but human ears and recorded sound are two different items all together.

besides, if you install it on your car it may sound different pending what other mods you are running.

Honnestly, just get some straight pipe, weld it together, then put a megan racing muffler. The end. NA/Turbo, sounds crazy.

but then again we dont have stupid laws where I live about noise.

someone really has to post a vid of a PROPER trust DD without silencers, reving it right up.

with silencers is pretty much capping the potential of the exhaust and can't really see what the true sound of the DD.

sounds alright with the silencers but can't really tell. rev it up more and take off the silencers!!!
