Ok... i just swapped my Ka24de back in after having an sr20 in the car...
it is the original motor out of the car, although my friend did have it in his 89 for a few months. I swapped the dash connector that i had on my sr20 harness back to the ka24de harness (cause it was converted for his 89)
I tried to start the car and i have no spark comming out of the coil. I DO HAVE FUEL, and all my grounds have been tested. i have tried putting the coil wire near ground and turning the motor over. there is NO SPARK.
so far i have replaced:
-coil (tried 3 different ones)
-power transistor chip (thing next to coil...also tried 3)
-ECU (originaly i was running the auto ecu, now im back to a M/T)
-distributor
-also i got new wires
I have also checked continuity between the distributor plug and ecu..all is good.
the ecu is throwing 2 codes, one for the CAS signal (simply saying it wont run) and the other is the ignition signal code.
*** Does anyone have any ideas to why my car wont spark?****
EDIT:
i have now followed ALL procedures for checking code 21 (diognostic procedure 27) and for testing all electical components (distributor, coil, powertransistor, and resistor)... ALL CHECKED OUT!!!
THANKS!
