Going to pick it up tomorrow hopefully.
Blue interior, 89 fastback, all JDM primer ATM.

I don't know what to get.
I want something NICE looking.
But nothing that'll get a cop's attention.
And I want a black roof.

Please give me input ASAP, it'll be in the paint booth very soon.

If I can get door jambs/pay painted for $100 extra somehow, I was thinking about silver moss.

Keep the opinions coming y0!

And if anyone has a picture of a nice Silver Moss s13 FB, please post(I can imagine it but a pic won't hurt much).

IMO it's a little too plain/too many. I'm looking for a more original color.

:jerkit: Good for you, gtfo.

Nah, jk. I'm drinking.

I looked up silver moss on google the other day and it took me to all these NICO(ugh) threads and none of the cars were actually silver moss, unless silver moss changed. Seriously, they posted up at least 10 different types of silver and then there was 1 actual silver moss car.

if by two tone you mean black roof, i concur.

i personally think coupe style two tone on a fastback is pretty hard to pull off.

I think mauve would suit you.

Actually, mauve is just the only trippy sounding color I know...but now that I actually just looked it up...I'de HELLA paint my car mauve.

About two tone fastbacks, I think the oem bluish gray/gray bottom looks pretty good on a FB. I also think grey upper w/ alot darker gray on bottom looks great.

You should paint your car, Ihaveamindofmyown. It looks quite nice if done right.

The paint code is. Useyourbrain mixed with a little research.

I think if you are picking it up and its stock, you should be focused on more than just paint.

IMO it would make no sense to start with fresh paint then modify the car. I'd suggest going the other way, unless you plan to do everything all at once, which is something I wouldn't suggest either.

once again - he's right ^^^

if u do paint - u gotta worry about dingin er while ur doin a motorswap or upgrade (boost) - coilovers, brakes, ROLLING FENDERS...

why the heck dont you pick your own color anyways? Dont get a color because other people like it - who's gotta live with the paint? YOU. paint is super fart stain terdslide brown if thats the color you like. do what u gotta do - then pick the paint when u've sorted it all out - not to mention you'll maybe want aero.

http://home.comcast.net/~smelly240/nobumper.jpg

just dont do this color...!

for me, im going with like the whitest white you can get or maybe ill change my mind because white is super plain. picking paint is hard especially if you trying to be original. just pick what you want and regret not being more balsy. but more mods > then paint, especially if you car is gonna see the track.

Input never killed anybody, now if you would like to try again with a legitimate opinion, i'd love for it.

Well, it is not going to be immediately painted.

I'm gonna rip off the IM and do some word.
Gonna get a few parts sold and get new ones.

And then i'm gonna rip out the suspension and get the wells painted satin black(doing myself).

Trust me, if you knew why I was getting it painted right when I get it, you would understand.

No motorswaps in this car, I like matching VIN #'s with how the cops in NC have been acting lately.

Fenders will be pulled/rolled, coilovers are going to be put on, brakes will remain stock for a while.

I'm picking my own color, but I figured a little input would help cause i'm having a slight mental block. Usually I could pick something out in 5 seconds, but idk. Nothing hurts with suggestions, it just makes for a better product in the end for me.

No aero for me, I like the pignose.

I was thinking about that color, but something a little more spicy will be chosen. I'm digging this whole mauve idea.

have you tried nico? They have a anti aero thing goin on - and a chuki vs pignose war where they all "check in" to their crew... LOL

for serious tho man - why is it that ur painting it right away?

They have that on nico? I'm not suprised...
I like my pignose, but it's nothing i'd argue over. It's a piece of plastic.

I'll post up all about it once I get done with phase I of the build.
It's lame to hold secrets, but whatever.

I actually wanted to do a pink car a year ago, but it'd be too Yashio Factory-style and i'd only do it if I had a set of deep dish Volk GT-P.

Porsche Carrera GT Seal Gray that is probably the hottest color out there outside of Audi Brillian Black! If you want to get Nasty Get a Royal Sapphire Pearl with a silver metallic pearl and a Audi Brillian Black roof.

I think s14s would look super awesome copper. Never seen a pic. Kinda like the 350z color but brighter and with more shine.

11-29-2006, 09:30 PM
I think i'm just doing it white so I don't have to do door jambs, and then spending the saved money on parts.

I figured white would be the best. It attracts less heat, it's clean(and plain), and cheapest. Then in a couple years when I wanna throw down $$ for a show car paint job, it won't be a PITA to repaint like red would be.

Good to see that you're willing to ditch the primer so quickly.
I'm tired of seeing primered S-chassis.

black is overrated for the roof, but a two-tone breakup is definetly the hotness.

Here are my suggestions, body/roof

Chevrolet Sunset orange/ dark champagne
Toyota Quicksilver/Toyota Thunder cloud metallic(gunmetal)
BMW mocha frost/metallic chocolate brown
Mazda Velocity Red Mica/ Scion black cherry
Mazda whitewater pearl with blue pearl/Saab platinum bluish-silver
