When I get my 95 240SX all built up with the red top SR20 FMIC,Downpipe,Clutch,BOV,EGT,Fuel Pump,Boost Controller and Apex-i N1 Catback and short shifter, will I be able to take my brothers S2000 on the strip and anywhere else? I have driven his car many times and it is PSYCHO! New to the Sr20Det though (never driven or rode in one.) Help me out, I need bragging rights again.

That's not exactly "all built up" but it's all good. It should be able to take the car in a straight line (lighter and about the same amount of power), but in the turns he probably has you. S2000s handle pretty damned good and unless you have suspension mods, you probably won't be able to take him there.

Sorry for the broad term, "built-up" I know I am far away, but for me this swap is getting built up, from bone stock to turbo. What other bolt-ons can I add at the time of engine install that will help me move down the strip (any part recommendations?) Thanks again, Andrew

Actually I have raced Three since they came out and at the time all I had was a full Exhaust and Blitz air intake. I had no problem with them at all. We raced several times at Mizugama and to no avail they just quit. One of the guys was an American the other two were Japanese. They are not all they are hyped up to be. When you drive a Real Silvia I don't mean a 240sx with a swap There is a difference in the way it feels besides the obvious left hand right hand thing. I have built up my brothers 240 in the states (Well I just sent him the engines and parts) and it is a little heavy feeling even with full JIC suspension (It's a 95 by the way). I am waiting to install the Mark II's intercooler and fuel pump to see what she has got she can almost keep up with the Silvia with just Full exhaust.

No, it's cool. It's just a personal feeling that going from one stock engine to another isn't being built up, but I can totally see where you're coming from. It's a big difference in power so compared to a stock KA I guess you could say that it's built up. Out of curiosity though, why are you adding a new fuel pump before upgrading the turbo?

You are one lucky guy, i wish I had any of your cars, too bad your like halfway accross the world. Get better pics of your cars, your webshot thing seems to not be working right now <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

The only reason I am upgrading the fuel pump is for peace of mind. I figure a new (better) fuel pump has to be better than the stock one an I will eventually upgrade the turbo. Any more power adders available that I have not mentioned. I am driving to ALT, GA to get this done and don't want to miss anything while the car is torn apart and I am 3 states away.

You can upgrade cams and the flywheel.

why not do research instead of asking people hey what can i upgrade and whats better a s2k or a s14 sr20det?
you obviously know the s2000 since your brother has one. and youve obviously started tin the right directiuon in getting info on the 240 and the sr. so why stop there and be spoon fed?
check here check fa and nico's im pretty sure you would find the info alot better then just asking random people.
not raggin on you just telling you to do some research instead of throwing parts in.

i just came back from the track yesterday, i ran a 13.71 @ 103.5mph on the stock shitty tires in 90+ degree heat, i have no more parts than what you mention. im pretty sure stock s2000's run a 13.9 stock.
EDIT: at 13psi*

well this race is going to depend alot on the skill of the driver in the s2000. theyre extremely tricky cars to launch well because of the narrow power band and the fact that you have to rev it to 6K to get any kind of power. there can be an s2000 going 0-60 in 5.8 sec one day and the next the same on is doing it in 6.5 very tricky and touchy cars. its hard to say who would win. just try it thats the best way to find out, you got a damn good chance

minime is definately right. Just try it. You listed a pretty descent set up, that would definately be able to keep up with the S2K.

I would think that a S2000 would still have more hp than my 240 will even after the swap. 240hp to 205 + mods??? And to the person who told me to research it myself, no offense taken, I like to get diffrent opinions on things.....then research them. I used this scenario with my '94 Z28 and it ended up with 575hp N/A and still had a 200 shot of NOS to use if I ever came acrossed a car I needed it for (only used 4X in 3 months) What can I run a safe level of boost at on the stock T-25, I know stock is 10psi. What device can automatically control that when I am driving (if I need it.) Anyways, thanks for the replies guys.

FYI stock is 7psi. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'> I think the stock turbo is safe to 12psi...but it could be more.

yes stock boost is 7lbs. I think with proper cooling/fuel you could maybe do 14 lbs? Its just an estimate though.

Hmm dont think I understand why you posted this question here when your having UH do your swap. They are probably the most notable SR swappers state side(currently). They should be able to answer any question you have even.

No offense, but just because you are running it at that boost, does not mean that it's safe.
