I had sorta the same thing happen to me.. I found a green 97 SE about 2 hours away.. they sent me pics and everything.. she was beautiful.. the Day I was suppose to go look/buy, I called to make sure it was still there.. They said "Sorry, Guy came in and test drove it this morning, and paid cash on the spot for it.." I almost cried.. BUT now I have my 92' se and am loving her more and more everyday

Just hold on keep lookin for a 240. The first 2 cars I wanted got sold the day before I was gonna buy them, a crx and a tercel ( i was only lookin to spend what I had at the time which was 1200) but then i found a 95 240 sittin up the street that no one was buying, so i talked the guy down and got a loan. I hate to think what would have happened if i had bought a crx

I know how you feel... Infact I snapped too and bought my car... 240's are getting so damned expensive why wont the damn things just depreciate already!? They are costing around $3000 for an average condition rms13 in my area... im pissed...and thats the friggint SOHC one! So anyways I gave up, bought my car for $3500, cleaned up the paint and now im about to sell it for like 4,200.. then i'll try to buy an FC or go on a 240 hunt again.

best way to get a good deal is to look for private sellers. just buy your local newspaper every day & eventually youll find something. i got a great deal on my s13. $2000 in great shape with 84K miles on it. ive had it over a year now & the only problems ive had are the brakes...no engine problems whatsoever. God bless 240s

I say hunt auto trader and autotrader.com every day til you find one. It took me 10 months to find a 240.... So be patient, you'll get whats coming. After a while I decided I couldnt afford an S14 and decided to go with the Fastback. Now I love that car to death Point of the matter is, hang in there. You'll get the car someday

damn. I know exactly how you feel. Don't cave in though. Stay the path and get you a 240. About a year ago, I was looking for a 240sx and found a great deal on a 98. The car was beautiful and the man was going to turn over the payments to me. We had a verbal agreement, but when I was supposed to meet him at the bank to sign the paperwork, he didn't show. I called him up, and he tells me that he was sorry, but someone else came through that morning and he decided to give to him. I wanted to hang the man by his nuts. Because that deal went sour, I got stuck with a Volkswagen Golf for a year. I hated every day I had to drive that thing until I met a guy at work who had a 1991 s13 coupe. he wanted to buy a Prelude (god only knows why) and after I told him how much I wanted the car, he gave it to me for $650.00. No bullshit. I thought it might have been something wrong with the car, but after test driving it I found nothing at all wrong with her. Quite frankly she's a beast, and a godsend from Nissan. A 1991 with over 150k mis and runs strong as a purebred workhorse at the track. There is a deal out there for you man, just hang in there......
