View Full Version : URAS NS-01 4x114.3 Interest?
Yes you read the title correctly. We are currently in discussions with Nomuken to produce the URAS NS-01 wheel in a 4x114.3 bolt pattern.
Basically he is going to tell us after checking with the factory how many sets we need to make an opening order. At that time we will have our introductory group buy for the first NS-01 4x114.3 wheels in the world. The wheels will be the exact same fitment and color, only difference is bolt pattern.

$210.00/wheel

$210.00/wheel
So now that there is this news what happens? Well it's simple, in order to convince Nomuken that this is a good idea for the US 240sx community, I told him that I would create a thread here and ask for everyones feedback. So everybody who wants to see this happen, post up in this thread and speak your mind to Nomuken and that you want these wheels. He will see this thread next week.
and about the earlier thread for those that saw it, i had civic on the brain, my bad

this is what the 5x114.3s come in:
17X8 +30 5X114.3
:17X9 +30 5X114.3
:17X9.5 +15 5X114.3
Tell that short shit to make some x9 0off and change the +30 to +20, and to also deliver me one of his ER34s with stock interior intact.

Theyre like buttah.
As in theyre weak and prone to loosing their round. and heavy. Or at least thats the word on the street.
They are pretty badass when it comes to looks. If they were cheap enough I would buy some 17x9s in 5 lug.

^^ are you sure ur not getting them mixed up with the DT-05R?
those are pretty heavy, the URAS is around 17-20lbs.
not THAT bad.
hows the concaveness on these badboys? havn't seen any sidepics of the URAS.

First of all the thread is for interest in a 4 lug version of this wheel, b/c it has always been available in 5 lug. Second, if the only proof you have of the lack of quality is "the word on the street" then keep it to yourself. Finally, at 210 bucks a wheel, not including chrome, they are equally price to fn's, so I don't know how much cheaper you want them.
I for one would love to see these in a 4 lug. The only decent 4 lug wheel, in terms of size and decent pricing, seems to be the fn's. I'm looking at getting 17x9's all around for my s13, and since grenades aren't in production anymore, I'd love to see these in a 4 lug. Concave face FTW

meph posted the specs
if they wont even waste time drilling blanks to 4 lug, you can bet they arent gonna make a new mould, without some 20 piece order at least

I'd be interested if they came in a lower offset. Atleast +15 for the 8in and 9in. Come on, us 4 luggers deserve some sweet looking rims too.

yup. 17x8 and 17x9, or even 18x9 or 18x10 with a sexy offset would TOTALLY fill out da overfenders. Spacers begone ~ lets see some side pics and an order list.

17X8 +30 and the 17X9 +30no one would really buy, just a waste of time to make those. The 17X9.5 +15 is ok but wish they would make some in lower offsets and atleast 10inches wide. When are wheel companys going to get the hint.
keep it coming guys, feel free to comment on wheel fitment...nothing is impossible, there just has to be the demand to meet the opening production cost. i am awaiting word on how many sets need to be made, more feedback equals more likeliness that you'll get what you want if we can get this to happen. i'm hoping to have the details ironed out over the 2-3 weeks max, i'll be meeting with him at D1 in december but i hope that the wheel issue will be resolved by then and we'll be able to move onto different projects by then.

17x9.5 +15 would be your best bet to redrill(some of the other offsets might not clear coilovers that most of us have), It would be awesome if they could make them in a lower offset but I guess that would be asking to much.
But I would definately be in for the lowest offset in the widest width in a polished finish

I would like to see some lower offsets.
i dunno if this would effect the balance of the wheel but i think the only reason why alot of wheels dont come 4 lug is because of the balance issue. but id like to see a 4 lug wheel with a low offset/tapered spokes. and i was wondering if there is a balance issue with that y not make a rim similar to these but like a 8 spoke and it'll definately be balanced for a 4 lug. or how about a 4 spoked version? i think it'll be pretty crazy to see since there arent many/any 4 spoke low offset/tapered spoke rims around. just putting sum words out. :loco: :hsdance: :tweak:

Good point man. 5 lug, 6 spoke wheels are a bad idea for the same reason. Unbalanced and dangerous. Like these:

4 lug is a waste of time. Im going 5 lug.The uras NS-01 is a nice wheel but I need 18's in the rear. 17's arent cutting it anymore. Ive got tokyonights' grenades on my car as drift spares and I cant stand looking at them anymore. and there 17X9 +15. If the made an 18" 4 lug wheel in a decent size Id be all over it, but thats two different sizes and if its this much trouble to get one size I doubt they will do another

Put me down for a set for sure... 17x9 +30 & 17x9.5 +15...
25mm spacers ftw...
I'm sure they won't make a new mold for different sizes, but perhaps adding material to the backpad to lower the offset?
I will definately get a set if it comes thru! Keep us posted!
In running Finite Element Analasys on many wheel designs in my career, I will say that running a lug hole where there is not a spoke, although it's not detrimental to balance, most definately makes a weaker wheel. Apples to apples, a 5 spoke wheel is stiffer if it's got a spoke at every lug hole.

Oh i see. Understandable.
well guys, i've got unfortunate news. nomuken called us today on his day off and said that the wheel factory cannot make these in a 4x114.3 pattern. matter of fact he further told us that the whole line of wheels is being discontinued for a new line that will be approximately $100-$150 more per wheel. i asked if there would be the chance of 4x114.3 in these and he stated no. sorry for the tease guys, it was a good idea while it lasted.

Start selling these: http://www.m2-hanbai.com/m2_new/M2_HP/wheel/nc-10r/04-v1.html 4-Lug, 17x9 +20, $550 a set, concave 10 spoke, what more could you ask for. I would buy these in a second...
I think you guys quoted me like $800 to import them on top of the wheel cost themselves, $1300 FUCK THAT!

It would be nice to see those URAS running around, but weak in the pants due to 4 lug status. But all in all, good luck with the inquiry, I'm sure there would be enough interest!

I don't think you got that quote from us, our pricing is all inclusive and unless we were air freighting these wheels in it wouldn't cost anywhere near that amount. I'll look into this and see what I can find out for everyone if this has interest.
