Umm iirc 2000 is hte one with sr20de, the same engine that is in 200sx se-r that will own a 240. And nx is lighter i think... so you can guess the results.

damn after doing research its was a 90hp pulsar NX......argggg....no wonder it was so easy. that just ruined it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/whatsthat.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':whatthe:'>

The 'square one' is the Pulsar NX. The engine would be either a E16i, CA16DE, or CA18DE. Anywhere from 90hp to 125hp.

even if it's a SR20DE.. what's it got? 2.0L, 140hp with 130ft-lbs. @ 4800 rpm! a front wheel drive! and weights within 200 pounds of the s13! i dont see how in the world it could beat a 240! unless these numbers are wrong!

Ok, 200sx se-r can walk a 240 all day long. And don't argue with me here cuz it's a personal experience. And nx is slightly lighter, so i'd say in road racing (0-60) it would pound the crap outa 240 as well.

dont make it seem like rwd gives the 240 upper hand over anything. stop being such a damn nazi

my sentra will spank a 240 also it has the sr20de

nx2000's pull low to mid 15's stock

my buddy in his classic se-r with an exhaust leak by his downpipe pulled a 15.1 just with a cone filter and advanced timing. d

do that in your 240 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dozingoff.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

edit

ohh yeah and dont forgetr 7500 redline and it poulls strong to 7500 beleive me. my sentra will pull to 7k strong as well giving my enough revs to beat a 240

a front wheel drive!

front wheel drive is actually better for draging. less power loss correct?

No. Cause when you launch the weight transfers off the wheels that propel the car. rwd in equal cars is supposed to buy you an extra .3 seconds in the quarter according to weight transfer and power to the ground.

ok.. if you guys say so.. i believe you... a NX2000 can beat a 240 ok.. fine! but why? anybody care to explain what in the world makes it win if it has much less power and it's not that much lighter? dont make no sense! thank you!!

Well a SOHC would get beaten hands down. A dual cammer would be closer, but the FWD SR would win with equal drivers, and both cars running well. Lightness, plus the ratios on the FWD SR's are a bit closer and the final drive is shorter which helps. With only 140hp fwd cars with LSD can hook up fine so the RWD isnt much of an advantage here.
