Hey guys/gals. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has done this conversion from start to finish solo. I am moving back to the states in mid-Nov and have been acquiring parts for the swap when I get to Denver. So far I only have a front bumper, folding mirrors, core support, headlights and S13.5 conversion fenders. A few misc. things like Kouki tail lamps, wheels, folding mirrors, manual seatbelts, etc. Any advice on what else I should try to get before I leave Japan?

right....so if anyone has any advice on what I try to get before I leave Japan let me know. I'm a newbie to the site, but not to automobile culture. Just asking for a little help here, so I would appreciate useful replies.

Search Zilvia and you will find your answers. Almost everything has been covered over and over again, you have to be careful from what companies you buy parts from I remember quite a lot of them have fitment problems.

sounds like you're pretty much set. I dunno about what's needed for conversion, but at least you're not wasting your time. You sending everything back with your packout?

Well for one you don't need the S15 core support unless you absolutely need to replace your stock core support. All you have to do is cut holes behind the headlights in the stock S13 core support and trim the support wings that run outsite the innerfender apron. They are there for the sake of stock S13 fenders mating to the stock core support. you cannot put your fenders on with the headlights unless you trim them off. Yoshi did a whole write up about this.
If thats your S13.5 in the pic its nice. I have been planning on doing this conversion for a long time and have collected my parts as well. I will be running a factory front bumper with the gracer lip ( thanks woodchuck) :D . I do like the spec R bumper in your pic though. Is that car using widebody fenders or stock style? Plus I am probably going to deal steel fenders as well.

thats not my car in pic, just some random pics from google image search...
here is my baby, which i had to regrettebly sell last week...

It's not related to the s15 conversion. But if you want a HLSD, then while you're there buy a s15 HLSD and ship if with your stuff.

ok so anyway, my point is, spend your time trying to find obscure jdm shit, rather than run of the mill stuff that everyone has already.

Bring back R33 GTR wheels. Rare 17" wheels with low offsets, and crazy random steering wheels, and Karoism floor mats.

I found this website during the civil war when I first had my car.

http://www.360realms.com/S13-S15/

Google does wonders. Sometimes Yahoo or MSN does too.

A nd you're going to Colorado? Damn. Full of fan boys here. You're gonna be love all over Colorado for having a 240SX.

D-Max/Koguchi hoods, dirt cheap Hanbai wheels in 4-Lug (NC-10R's, DT-05R's), um... get me some fucking side and front tables, I'll throw down for some of those, even though I doubt they'd fit LHD cars...

Yum...

those tables are available from pretty much every other japanese auto aftermarket manufacturer and im sure it would be relatively simple to put them on a LHD car, especially the ones with one cupholder on each end.
