I already have had my cage in for a while and its already painted black-POR15. MY first color choice was white but POR-15 doesnt come in white. The reason the cage is black, it was still at the shop getting done hours before and event and I needed my car. But the cage is in and I can maybe spray in some areas and the rest has to be brushed on. I was thinking a rustoleum white, maybe....what do you think

I don't see why it wouldn't hold up. It is for metal. It'd probably chip and rub off faster than a good industrial paint, butit would be an easy way out.
Now if you wanted to take time, you could always drop the cage back down through the floor and tape off the inside and paint it with a good automotive paint. Just depends on how much work you are in for.

If you don't mind, can you post some pics of your cage?

yea use the rustoleum then try using the rustoleum clear too, that'll make it last longer and not chip off as easily

hit it with some appliance paint in a can, then some clear?
comes in super white, seems sturdy we used it on a engine bay

yea i agree with the rustoleum stuff and the clear. I used it on the interior of my car and its been holding up great, just prep it well by getting a smooth surface and youll be good.

heres a few pics, Nick of Built Performance did the cage for me.(I know the harness isnt on the harness bar, just in case someone wants to let me know). The pics arent the best it was kind of a shitty day, but hope it helps. Also how does the rustoleum come out brushed on does it look decent is there a massive amount of stroke marks? Its not a show car but just trying to make it look 50/50.

i would imagine flake on top of flat paint would always look like shit regardless of paint type. just use some spray paint broslice.

yes ftw!
After 5 hours of taking the seats and dash out, taping sanding, and painting this is what it looks likes so far.I just did the back half of the cage because I didnt want to paint myself in a corner. I used rustoleum appliance spray epoxy. its really heavy and coats good.....I took a good look and i couldnt find one run in the paint. Ive got alot left to do but I should be done tommorow

pretty much all done. I still have a few spots I have to touch up with a brush because spray just couldnt get there. But heres the finished product, the pics suck because it gets dark at 4:45pm in shitty MA.

Looks good, that epoxy paint should hold up really well, it's tough.
