Hey, I have a Sparco Evo (I) w/ Bride FG rails in my S14, it sits me about an inch offset to the left (no centered to steering wheel), I'm all out of adjustments on the rail AND on the 4 mounting points to the floor, any suggestions? I don't wanna hack up these Bride rails, so I'm thinking of using Sparco's brackets minus their universal sliders (with those, I am almost sure it'll sit too high), I'm making a call to Sparco USA come Mon to see what they say about their brackets.

This is just how it is sometimes (although I'm not sure if was 1 inch)
IIRC when I had Evo w/ FG in my S13 it was the same way.
Just deal with it, if you run Sparco your ass will sit way too high.
Sparco uses Wedge Eng brackets, which are pretty garbage.
Or sell FG's and do custom setup.

Thanks for the reply, it's about an inch, it bothers me a bit, not a huge deal, but if it's something I can change, I would. I'm thinking of take the Bride L brackets and make the bottom hole more oblong to give me more adjustment.
Custom is the only way to go with Evos and I havent seen a Sparco that is either too high or the not set center.

custom rails as said previously.. fyi.. i'm running sparco evo1 and its as low as its going to get without chopping the floor plan to make it lower.. its sitting right on the slider height of the stock rail (those are the ones i used.. i cut them up and slider part of the rail which is the lowest point going side to side.. cut off the upper portion entirely leaving you with those rails.. made bracket and measured both sides off.. basically the side facing inside (to bellhousing) has the seat now sitting right on the carpet and leveled it off on the other side as the floorplan on the 240 is not even (i.e. honda civic) then replaced the sparco's high thigh cushion with a flat piece.. titled the seat back a bit.. i love it!! it clears the helmet by more then 3 fingers! rails look better then stock! :-)
bad pic but i'm sure you can get an idea..

Cool, thanks for the reply, but height for me isn't really a problem, the seat is about stock height, but I'm not that tall, and no sunroof, so it's really not a problem. I'm only concerned about the off-centeredness... I'm gonna call Sparco and Wedge Engineering Monday and see what they have to say, thanks for the help so far guys.

could you post updates? i had just gone for the same set up of sparco evo + bride fg rails. haven't installed them yet though.
i had read from some impressions that the spl seat sits the same way: a bit off centre to the left.

I spoke w/ Allan(sp) at Sparco, who was a very helpful s14 owner. Basically he said Sparco hardware won't work, it'll sit too high, easiest way to make it sit centered w/ Bride rails is to do some custom work. One of my friends ran the Sparco Evos w/ Nagisa rails, he says that the Nagisa rails have bigger holes(4x) on the bracket that mounts to the floor, so you can possibly get it more centered. As it sits right now, it's not too bothersome to make me want to do any extensive custom work.

Sorry to dig this old thread, but I didn't see any sense in starting a new one.
How do you fit in the seat. I'm 6'1 195 w/ 36in waist

You might need an Evo L, though I have one and it's a bit big on me (6'2" 210). I sat in a Recaro Pole Position this weekend, though, and it fit great! Would love to pick one of those up.

Yeah, I like the pole position also. I was wondering if the Evo was alittle bigger than the PP or same size? BTW what sliders do you use, NAMS, Brides, etc?

I have a custom bracket. I had fg rails, but they don't really work with wider seats, unless you raise the seat enough to clear the slider itself. No thanks.

Evo will work on NAMS/Bride FG, etc
Pole Position works on NAMS, but in certain cases won't work on Bride FG
Pole Position I guess is slightly wider on the mounting points than the Evo
Bride FG is still the best rail for the S chassis in regards to side mount seats

Talk about revival... hmmm, I'm 5'8, 185 lbs, probably 34in waist (I know, I need to do weight reduction on myself), the Evo is just right for a dual purpose car IMO, meaning the seat is slightly looser than what I'd want in a dedicated track car, giving jsut the right balance of support and daily comfort/convenience. So I'd imagine the Evo would be a tight fit, whereas the Evo L would be a similar to what the Evo feels like to me.
Logan: my hub/wheel comes tomorrow, can't wait. I did some mental measuring, the distance should be near perfect, if I do get a QR in the future, it'd have to be a slim one. Thanks Aspec.

good info! I also have a pair of the regular evo's, which I intend to put on my s14. from reading this thread, i think I'll order the nams brackets instead of the cheaper wedge eng one's. I'll prob get it thrown in within the next 2 months or so and post up how it goes as far as fitament and seating position.
im 5'11", 165lbs. the EVO's are a good fit, albeit a teeny bit too big. when i work out, it ends up fitting me very well. I do like the discontinued REV's a bit more. they fit me perfectly.

That's what I figured. I've sat in an Evo2 and a Pole Position. I really liked the Evo2 but it's lack of mounting options kinda eliminates that seat. The Pole Position was ok, just don't know if I would like it on long trips. One time I managed to squeeze myself into a buddy club, I thought my nut were gonna explode.
