Sorry about the title - Should read - Walbro with stock fuel pressure regulator!!! LOL
Hey guys, Ive read many threads on here which said it was ok to run stock FPR with a walbro fuel pump. Well now when my car starts it wants to flood out untill it is warmed up. Then at lights or while accelerating if I simply just push the clutch in it will just stall out. I can also smell all the extra fuel. Should I get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? Also what is the stock fuel pressure suppose to be set at?

unhook the vac line to the FPR and set the pressure to about 43psi

I have no problem w. a walbro and stock fpr, (i just got an adjustable though) my friend makes 320hp with FP and stock FPR.... Stock fuel pressure is 3Bar, 44PSI. Maybe just try and replace your current one... or buy a adjustable

yeah this is what you need,i set my FPR engine off at 37psi warm at 43psi,so wehn you reving it up you can see the fuel pressure gauge (get liquid filled gauge) go up to about 43psi then you are set, before you replace it pull your oil dip stick smell if you have fuel in the crank case and oil pan,if you do smell the fuel then drain the oil give your motor soem fresh new oil,you mentioned about the flooded with fuel in cylinders, fuel might of seepping through piston rings down to the rods and cranksahft bearings washed out the oil lubrications!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SR20DET-S13-S14-NISMO-FUEL-PRESSURE-REGULATOR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33553QQihZ011 QQitemZ320009928926

That is exactly what I found. I could smell gas in my oil. I drained it out and am awaiting the adjustable fpr. I changed the oil last night and drove it around the block but that is all. I wont drive it again untill after I get the FPR.
