I have a on and off CEL. It'll come on for 10-15 mins. while driving and then goes off. I pull code 11 (Camshaft Position Sensor), 32 (EGR Malfunction (California Models) and code 33 (Front O2 Sensor).
Anyways I was wandering where the Camshaft Positon Sensor is? And what is the EGR Malfunction? Anybody know, or can point me to the right directions?
Thanks

first off... how is the car running? good bad? any knocking noises etc. is this a brand new swap??? if you just finished your swap or got a new ecu etc... and dont hear or have any signs of mishapenings.... id say your first thing to do would be to reset your ecu codes to make sure its the motor and not a previous problem that the ecu carrried on. if you dont know how let me know and ill post it

nope. no swap. car runs perfect. Zero problem. the only thing I did, was took off the timing chain guide. Although I did took off the distributer to get to the lower guide. But I don't think it'll cause the CEL., because I did allign everything up correctly.

first check if the cam position sensor is connected /a good battery. also visual inspect if you can the cmps the plate for dirt or damage(the outer slot is the 1 degree & 4 bigger slit is the 180 degree, there should be a bigger sqaure slit of the 4 ,thats the no.1 cyl ) btw cmps is on the DISTRIBUTOR
dtc cmps code will show if its not getting 1 &180 signals to ecm or not matching range or higher then normal engine speeds.
check :
-power supply 5 (#'s indicates terminals)
-input signal 4 to 41 is the 1degree signal / 3 to 40-44 is the 180dgree signal
-ground 6
-cmps voltage 3 & 4
dont worry about the egr yet, fix the cmps, first. 32 code will probably disappear when the cmps is fixed.
hmmm diagnosing online is hard.

also download a fsm http://www.240edge.com/manuals/s13-ka24e.html
as for the HO2S just get a new one and if the code is still there its either a wiring/connection problem or A SUPA RICH or LEAN CONDITION!
