So I just got a blitz single plate clutch and light weight flywheel installed for my S14 SR. So far I am still in the first 500 mile break in period so I havent really had a chance to push it.

The clutch itself is rated up to 400 whp, and ive heard its made by ORC from several people. some people say its made by OS giken. either way, i dont think you can go wrong.

Clutch clamps very well, with only about a 20% increase in pedal stiffness. The flywheel itself is made of chromoly, and is a 25% lighter than stock SR flywheel. So its probably around a 15 lb flywheel? This makes it great for daily driving in my opinion. revs quicker but doesnt need to pop up to 4000 RPM just to launch at every single stop light. a 10.5 lb flywheel would have probably been hell on freeway traffic.

The kit is a little more pricey than just getting say an Exedy stage2 + toda flywheel or something of the likes, but I got a good deal on it so I went with blitz.

Anyways, Im very happy with my choice, and theres not much info or reviews about this clutch on the forums so i thought id be the first to chime in about it.
definately was a good compromise between a strong clutch and light flywheel, and daily drivability.

I'm pretty sure ORC makes it...

I had that clutch also. I think the flywheel is lighter then that but the clutch was awesome. Im not a fan of light flywheel though.

Have it and love it. A bit of a pain on stop and go traffic as opposed to stock. Hills are a bit annoying.
It makes noise when the pedal is depressed. It's normal for an unsprung disc but could get annoying for some.
Don't know if it's because of the one piece driveshaft but the flywheel feels really light.
If I were to do it again, I'd try the exedy one since the disk is sprung so no shutter noise.

I have it in my garage but i havn't put it in the car yet. It looks great i think im going to love it. Its manufactured by Ogura, im not shure if thats the same as ORC or not (Ogura Racing Company)???

yes blitz, ogura = ORC. i wanted an ORC clutch originally but after i found out they made blitz, i didnt want to deal with waiting two months for an ORC..plus theyre super pricey.

manonegra, i love that noise when the pedal is depressed! then again i like my car noisy.

its probably because of your driveshaft because my flywheel only feels slightly lighter than stock, i was hoping it would rev and drop a little quicker but oh well. if i really want to fix it i can just go for a lighter driveshaft.

side note: drove the car around a bit more lately, after about 200 miles the clutch feels even smoother than before. yet still very grabby. still have to be a little careful in stop and go traffic.

I believe that Rotora is using this same clutch in their blue S13.5. It felt pretty good when I was in there. But this was 2yrs ago. :D
