SOHC 240?

I got an 90 SOHC 240 I heard something about them revving high? And is there a big difference between the SOHC and DOHC? Thanks

boy, I remember so long ago in a topic about rap music or something that you, me and kidzelda had conflicting views about what real rap music is(I was thinking along the lines of biggie and jay-z, u guys were naming undergrouders like Binary star)...hah, those were the days.
Anyway, I have the 90, I can get it to rev close to 7Gs, Id say 6800 or something, I should try more but there is something about being in the red that gets me nervous.  I'm sure I can get a lil more, but I've never experienced the rev limiter kick in and I guess I'm a lil skeptical with letting that happen.  hell, I kinda figured I couldn't make it past 6500...but shit, if I made it to 6800, maybe it can go to 7....??

i think the biggest difference is the 15 extra hp on the DOHC, that was pretty much it... ovbiously, u can look into the techincal stuff, such as the SOHC had higher compression ratio? and stuff...

well, the difference between being DOHC and SOHC on the 1/4 mile is approximately .4 secs. &nbsp;hell, thats nothin. &nbsp;And I'm comparing the 1990 with arguably the best year DOHC=1991. &nbsp;So, all the SOHC owners out there, keep your head up &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

sohc=140hp....i only rev mine to 6k and i still chirp into 2nd
dohc=155hp

BTW 240sxspeedracer1 I don't know if that site is very reliable. I don't remember there bieng a Nissan 240SX SE-R in 95.

lol, yeah, maybe they meant 200sx Sentra type shit?
I don't know, but even if they aren't 100% reliable, they r probably close enough.
