"evry one with a truck fell thu"..Has any one ever pulled it by the skid with chain.....i hope the wood is not shot. I also have a old hood I may put it on to aid the pull down the 100ft driveway..I know someone has done this. How did it go?

Do not be scared...
I have had 2 front clips dropped off at my house a few years back...
tow strap and a 240 got them to my garage...
they guy would not back up to door ...insurance or some pooop...
Just make sure engine is packed well and will not fall off!
good luck!!!

Or if you have a cherry picker(engine hoist) just use that, make sure its strapped down good.

Me and 3 others carried the engine off a truck to the back of my garage, so it can be done. Im sure you and another person can pull/push it on the wood.

Exactly what I was thinking.
If they built pyramids with 2938192 ton blocks and logs you can pull a SR 100 feet to your garage.

Cherry picker is the way to go, you're going to have to figure out lifting it with the picker anyways, so just go ahead and do it. All you need is to cut up some plywood strips and keep moving them in front of the wheels so that you create a smooth surface to roll on, really easy with 3 of you. Here is a mediocre example of how we moved my clip...

middle guy, have a strap or something, and put it around your chest like over one shoulder etc. and walk forwards..the other two walk backwards and pull. otherwise someones shoulders are gonna get fucked up.
