so far ive only put about 1200 miles on my SR since i swapped it in about 3 months ago. early on i had bogging issues and i just figured it was a boost leak but that is starting to seem way to unlikely. im still running the SMIC. i changed all of the piping clamps to T-bolt clamps to try and solve the leak. i have these things REALLY tight. i just dont think a boost leak is the problem. the car isnt bucking, but when i press the gas, the rpms raise, my boost gauge reads boost, but my car still accelerates very very slow. this bogging is pretty much unnoticeable unless i break vacuum. ive been reading about leaking injector o-rings. this seems pretty possible to me so i picked up new upper and lower injector o-rings. is there anything else that im not considering?

also check to see that your maf is working correctly

thats a good idea...ive cleaned it with carb cleaner before but nothing changed. the wires leading to my MAF arent heat wrapped. maybe insulating them would help my problem?

get a fsm and test voltage, my maf went bad too, cleaned it, helped a bit, but still crapped out

i should also mention that i often smell fuel inside the car. thats why im leaning towards the injector 0-rings

When I received my 180SX/SR20DET in June/06 from Japan, my fuel filter and fuel lines were in very rough shape. I had some pretty nasty problems and my car was pretty slow. It turned out that that replacing my fuel filter with the 300ZX/TT type and replacing the rubber hoses fixed my problem immensely. I smelt fuel then and it was the first thing I fixed. Since then my fuel problem is solved. I've come to the conclusion that every bit of rubber on my car needed replacement. I had to put on 4 new tires to pass inspection, replace all my rubber vacuum lines, and I've now just started buying all the rubber seals/gaskets and o-rings to replace them before other weird problems show in my car. Yeah, it can cost some chage but you have no idea how much fun I have now that my boost comes on predictably and when it should. Wheee!!!! :D

Good luck with your tuneup. When it works, you'll have a 1/4 mile smile plastered on your face. The look of the kids's shocked faces as they stepped out of TFATF3:Tokyo Drift made me proud to turn japanese. Go give 'em hell, kid! :rl:

when i did my swap i replaced all of my rubber fuel lines and got a z32 TT fuel filter. ive only put about 1700 miles on it since then. i bought new upper and lower injector o-rings that im gonna replace. im leaning towards my MAF. i can run a z32 MAF on a stock SR with no odd side effects cant I?

you need a safc or some other application to tell the ecu on z32 maf or any other maf that's different from stock...
