Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and ran a search on it, but didn't find much in results. Okay, so about a year ago I swapped in the differential from the '94 Infinity J30. Limited-slip works great and all, but a few months after hearing a lot of differential mount thuds, the noise became solid. Metal to metal. I looked down there, and the bolts I used came out. So I went to Infinity, got the two bolts that mount there:

Theres 2 of them, about 4 inches long, and they're positioned upwards. They hold the front end of the differential from vertical play. After about 2 months, I heard what sounded like a grinding noise. Basically it felt like something was dragging. Luckily this happened when I started up the car one morning, and not while I was out on the road.

After jacking up the car a few days ago, I took a look, and the bushings that the bolts go through, are completely gone. The differential just dropped through those two holes, and it's being held up by the 4 bolts that go into the rear of the differential-horizontally. Now I need to get some solid bushings. From what I hear you can get urethane, or you can get aluminum. I'm looking for a lifetime solution, cause it's a track car afterall, and the noise wont bother me when I shift. As far as I know SPL sells some aluminum ones, but I want to verify if those come with bushings to fit those two vertical holes.

Here's the link: http://www.splparts.com/Parts/NissanShared/Suspension/Subframe/default.asp
and I believe it's the bottom-most product.

Any takes on this? I need to have the car ready to drive soon, my daily driver is going to be in the shop.

you linked to wrong product... those are subframe bushings

spl does sell aluminum diff bushings.
i have them.
they are noisy as hell inside the car. not just when shifting... but when driving, accelerating, slowing down, or coasting, or pretty much any time while moving.

2nd product from the bottom

two go in the diff vertically, two go in the subframe horizantally
fit fine on s14 with s14 vlsd pumpkin. dont know what you're running so e-mail them if you have questions about fitment.

I take it this is an S13. Just get the front bushings, and then buy the OE washers that you never bothered to install, that's why the snout of the diff fell out in the first place. They're fender washers, but about 2inch in diameter and 1/4inch thick.
